Kimi ga Shine, as I'm sure everyone's heard me blabbing my head off about. To those who somehow don't know what that is—it's a freeware horror VN (both in-browser and downloadable) better known as Your Turn to Die in the ENG fandom, and what I personally like to call Danganronpa-But-Better-and-Also-No-One-Kills-Each-Other,-Actually.
The story's difficult to talk about without spoilers (per the nature of DR-esque games) but good god is it a ride, I found myself pretty blown away by just how layered the twists and reveals were on my first playthrough, and honestly? Still am. It gets to the point that I tend to say it's less about horror, so much as the sheer intrigue, particularly in Ch. 2's main game; if at all possible I'd advise anyone thinking of trying it out to go in 100% blind. It also does a surprising amount with its characters, even posthumously. (The minigames/puzzles aren't half bad either.) Better watch out with how easy it is to get attached, lol.
All I ask of this game is that if not 3-2, 3-1B finally get released... Nankidai. Sensei. Please. It's been almost a year we need foooood /hj
EDIT: Oh yeah, if you do ever play, do it with headphones straight out. The OST's atmosphere adds sooo much.
