Okami's El Dorado Playthrough

Guess what? We're back. You know what, I'm just gonna get straight into this...

Miguel and Tulio have now reached the docks - almost. They now need to find a way to get over there. Luckily, Miguel (who we finally get to control) sees a donkey powering this conveyer... thingie. He just needs something to motivate the donkey.

Tulio notices a barrel of carrots nearby, forcing Miguel to sneak pasts the guards to obtain a carrot. Inside of the barrel. Again. So basically this part of the game is a tiny stealth section. Like Metal Gear Solid, except shitty.

We've got the carrot! But Miguel, being kinda... stupid (they both are really), accidentally says this out loud. The guards notice but are dumber than he is and go on with their guarding stuff. They're so stupid that they fail to notice the barrel moving places.

Miguel ties the carrot to the string and the donkey tries to walk toward it. Kinda like that scene in Mulan with the dog and the bone tied to a string? Maybe? Anyway...

Miguel pulls a lever and it changes the direction of the conveyer. He climbs up a ladder.

Miguel and Tulio then hide in barrels to get to the docks. If you've watched the movie, then you can see how much this deviates from it. There were barrels involved, though.

Also we get... oh, wow. I think I took this screenshot at the wrong time, lol. We get another cool lil FMV lifted from the movie. I forgot to mention that there was also one of those in the beginning of the game. I didn't take screenshots of that though.

So the duo got on a boat, but when they lifted the barrel lids, they were caught and imprisoned. And here's where things deviate from the film yet again. See (for those unenlightened), in the film, Miguel was the one who tried to get Altivo (the horse) to help them. But here, it's Tulio who does that. At least we get more sarcastic Miguel, though. He's definitely a bit more sarcastic here...

Altivo retrieves a boathook for Tulio, but it hits Miguel in the head and knocks him unconscious. Tulio uses the boathook to pull down a ladder.

Tulio climbs up the ladder and peeks into a room. He notices keys, biscuits, and monke. Tulio uses the biscuits as bait for monke so that he can get the keys to the room on the other side of the ship. monke gives him keys.

Tulio unlocks the door to the other room, but a crew member notices him. Tulio makes up this shitty excuse but doesn't buy it. Dude then pulls out a FUCKIN' SWORD on Tulio and pushes him back to the prison thing he was in with Miguel.

Tulio bangs his head against the wall (it's funnier in the actual movie) for another idea. Miguel half trolls, half... idk. He basically tells Tulio to bang his head into the wall harder. Tulio listens and accidentally knocks himself out. But hey, the ladder is back down again! So yeah, I'm gonna end this part of Monkey Island... I mean El Dorado right here. Expect another update soon. But first...
