Kellensea lets out a small chuckle about the "ears in a jar" statement.
I haven't lived in one place for over 15 years. Don't have a basement to put things in. Hell, the one house I own isn't in a place where basements are the preferred storage option anyway. So yeah, I can't have a jar of ears in my basement... Anyway, teeth are easier. you can string those on a necklace, bone holds enchantment pretty well, generally just the better option... as for you, Ranma...
Somewhere in the pause between "better option" and "as for you" an intensely bitter tone has crept back into Kellensea's voice.
Yes. I would say the exact same thing. The dead have no use for items. If I were to be dead, I would expect to be stripped of items long before I was left to rot where I fell. That is how life is. The dead are dead, they do not need their items. I live, and I want those items. So I take those items. That is how things work. You delude yourself, Ranma. This isn't about honor, this is about some bullshit code you signed up to so you could feel superior. Oh. Wait. Sorry, this is absolutely about honor, which IS a bullshit code that you and others sign up to so you can feel superior while shooting yourself in the foot over and over again. As for this "man" bullshit... that's just another layer of your weird-ass obsession with this "honor" crap. Only paladins and fools believe in honor. "Kill your enemies when they sleep, for they fight not back then" is a perfectly legitimate tactic. You will not suffer for using it. No one comes to enforce that crap, so why do you do it? Why do you reject sound decisions that make your life easier?
Kellensea's bitterness becomes more apparent as she stares directly at Ranma for several seconds, her one visible eye glassy and unfocused-looking, as it usually is. Behind that eye however, utter hatred burns. Eventually, she looks away and gets back to carving, having apparently lost interest.
