1. Looks like it might be copying *you* this time. It doesn't want to be seen in the same place, lest it be outed. Figure out a way to lure it out!

"Hmmm, how could I trick some sussy imposter that copies me..." Neptune decides to set up a fake "Neptune Meet-and-Greet", hoping the imposter will show up pretending to be the real Neptune. Once they're set up, Neptune will join the line... disguised!

2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you and the other you is just an imposter.

"Hey, didn't the restaurant have some ... urgh... Still disguised, she orders some roasted eggplants and serves it to the hungry-looking imposter. "The real me would never willingly eat that vile vegetable!" Neptune says as she removes her disguise.

3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!

Hey, what's this? Turns out the meet-and-greet stand was a secret trap? Neptune presses a switch on its side and it closes around the imposter like a cage.

Neptune has rolled a one on the first task, a six on the second task, and a ten on the third task, for a total of 17 points.

The Meet-and-Greet is a creative solution to the problem... unfortunately, the imposter is assuming the real Neptune will be there and tries to get as far away as possible! It's only an irate fan who spies it running away over a hill that manages to find it.

Serving the imposter roasted eggplant works fairly well, although the chef at the restaurant is a bit miffed at the insinuation that her eggplant dish is terrible.

However, turning the meet-and-greet stand into a trap works perfectly! The Neptune fans had pressed the fake Neptune into performing its part at the meet-and-greet stand, so it's right where you want it.

1. Well, if it wants to get away with being me, it will have to be lured by the greatest food ever invented by humans. I shall go to the diner and purchase a dozen burgers!
2. I am very good at skateboards indeed. We shall participate in a competition of skateboarding prowess! And since I am the real me, and human, I shall be victorious!
3. Knock out the imposter, lock it in the shed. That should do, unless the imposter is MacGyver (human television reference!).

Seeing Double

1. Eki and Anya are two people, but there's only one impostor, right? Eki will hide in their cabin's bathroom, while Anya will stand out in the open. Hopefully, the impostor will notice that Eki's missing and appear to Anya in the form of Eki.
   
   
2. But wait! Anya has a trick up her sleeves. She borrowed Eki's skysail. From her experience, doppelgangers struggle with copying magical artifacts exactly. Sure, it may look like the fake Eki can skysail, but it's probably a useless piece of cloth in the hands of another person. To demonstrate, Anya will try floating down the history museum's roof in front the Groves twice: one with the real Eki's skysail, and the other with the impostor's "skysail". It's gonna hurt a bit, but at least it'll reveal the impostor. If that isn't enough, skip to Step 3
   
   
3. After this, Anya will text the real Eki to come out of the bathroom. Once Eki gets the signal, they'll sneak up to the impostor, wielding a bat (or another thing that can knock someone out) and whack the impostor's lights out. Is there a police station? If so, Eki and Anya will carry the unconscious impostor there.

Jimothy has rolled a 9 on the first task, a 6 on the second task +1 for excellent skateboarding skillz, and a 10 on the third task, giving him a total of 26 points

Who can resist a good burger, right? Certainly nobody pretending to be huma... I mean, Jimothy. And that includes the imposter.

Jimothy has spent a lot of time perfecting his skateboarding, so indeed, the imposter is no match there. We've all seen Jimothy skateboarding, so we know it must be the real one that has the skills.

You might think this would be a hard-fought match between equals, but Jimothy is on point with his boxing (it's a very human sport, after all; maybe he watches the WWE?) and beats the imposter back to the shed. The others get in a punch or two as well, knowing now which Jimothy is the real Jimothy A. Realman. It's in the name, he's real.

The impostor starts out copying Anya and takes a bit to notice Eki isn't around. After looking for them a bit and realizing they are, in fact, not with Anya, a sussy fake Eki shows up to try to convince Anya that it's them. (Rolled 5.)

This works really well. Anya's skills with her own skysail are top-notch, and she manages not to hurt herself with the impostor!Eki's "skysail" (even if it's no more effective than an ordinary bedsheet). The fake Eki is quickly outed as the sussy baka they are. (Rolled 10 +1 for skysail skills for a total of 11.)

[*]After this, Anya will text the real Eki to come out of the bathroom. Once Eki gets the signal, they'll sneak up to the impostor, wielding a bat (or another thing that can knock someone out) and whack the impostor's lights out. Is there a police station? Eki seems to have gotten a bit overexcited and the impostor isn't snuck up on as easily as they'd like, but they do manage to bash it over the head pretty easily once they catch it. However the police are kind of absent at the moment and the impostor wakes up before Eki and Anya can lock it up. (Rolled 1 +1 for fighting skills for a total of 2.)

Eki and Anya have scored a total of 18 points.

Bunyan and the Pretender

1. Looks like it might be copying *you* this time. It doesn't want to be seen in the same place, lest it be outed. Figure out a way to lure it out!
Bunyan sends out Babe to travel across the town in order to lure out the imposter from its hiding space. After all, Bunyan and Babe are pretty close.
2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you and the other you is just an imposter.
Can the imposter change size? Bunyan changes her size drastically, from being as tiny as a crumb to growing so tall that at least 2/3rds of her body is above the clouds.
3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!
Bunyan returns to her default size and she and Babe surround the imposter. Bunyan tackles the imposter down, grows around 20 feet in height and holds the imposter tightly with her hand.

Bunyan has rolled a 1 on the first task +1 for the bond between her and Babe; a 10 on the second task +1 for size shifting; and a 7 on the third task +1 for size shifting. This gives her a total score of 21 points.

It looks like the imposter doesn't want to come out to check out Babe. Maybe it's worried that, because you are so close, Babe will be able to tell? Regardless, it's way harder than you expected to lure the imposter out.

The imposter can change appearances, but they don't seem to be as adept at sizeshifting at all as Bunyan can be. Nice work. ...Just don't leave lakes all over town from your footsteps.

And as Bunyan sizeshifts again and takes the imposter down in a tackle, the imposter puts up a fight, but it's no match for the strength and size of Bunyan!

Adrianna looks deeply shaken after having used her powers. She shivers at the thought that a very powerful eldritch horror could be behind all of this and briefly goes into denial before realising that's probably the truth.
It takes some time for her to pull herself together enough to hide the feelings.

"Back home, i fought very powerful and destructive forces and opponents to save my home and friends. I faced beings born of despair and negativity. A new friend corrupted by the darkness in his own heart. An ancient, destroyer of worlds. An ultimate lifeform with a desire to invade. I'm not sure that you've fought or met anything that strong, but i faced them for my friends' sake."

Kirby looks up into the sky.

"My friends said that i have a hidden power inside me. I think that maybe, i'm almost as powerful as the entities i fought. That maybe i'm just like them, but very different. A being of infinite power, but one that is pure of heart! Maybe those super-powerful beings only become forces of destruction because they never knew friendship and happiness. That i'm pure of heart because of my friends back home!"

Kirby now looks at the others.

"With all those weird stuff we saw, do you think a force like that is behind all this? If so, with all my hidden powers, i promise to make sure you're all safe, poyo!"

Booker: Cute, yeah! A Doppelganger, huh? Weird, even for here, don't you think? What if it had copied us? Yikes.

Mavis: Yeah. You ever thought what it would like to be to be identical twins instead of the way we are?

Booker: Different, definitely.

Mavis: Still wouldn't be as samey as that doppelganger.

Booker: Yeah, even identical twins can be really different.
