Let me start off by mentioning the glorious mess that is Chargeman Ken, a 70s anime infamous for its limited animation, weird plots and sometimes questionable "hero". As an example, here's the probably most infamous episode:

Speaking of Chargeman Ken, it looks like last year's fundraiser to restore and preserve the series' reels surpassed the original 6 million yen goal.
