It is very cold outside and there is a lady in my store wearing short sleeves.

It is not exactly warm in my store.

Oh, I've been there. I remember wearing summer clothing (T-shirt, shorts) when it's cold out, and on another occasion, had to endure a torrential downpour without any protection from it (not even a simple coat). I've chalked up those incidents to being caused by my forgetfulness.

I do wear shorts, but only when it's very warm (and therefore practical).

I was never very good at swimming anyway. Or moving very fast at all. I couldn't dunk my head underwater to save my life. Just the thought of it is terrifying.

I've not played in a while.

I remember playing with a smart girl in high school though. I castled immediately, and apparently that messed up her plans to win the game early. I still lost, though.

I used to play chess with my dad a long time ago. At some point I stopped, probably because I'm not too good at it.

Dad actually owns a set of antique Japanese chess pieces, which we used when we played. He got them from his dad, my grandfather, who apparently had a fondness of Japanese culture.

I remember in Castle Rock Sissy Spacek's character had a Medeival chess set. If you watched it, you'd understand why.
