[OOC] Murder U OOC
#26
Name: Pike

Appearance: [Image: Pikecasual.png]

Gender / Pronouns: He/Him

Backstory and Personality: Pike may just appear to be an ordinary racer - a rookie in the Rimba Grand Prix, even. But there's a very good reason why he shot to the top. Before he even arrived in the RGP, Pike had already made a name for himself in the criminal underworld, taking over a fair few crime syndicates. This resulted in the Ringmasters, a group of unknown people who control the Grand Prix, making him their top operative. In the earlier moments, he put on the facade of an enthusiastic rookie, but his selfish, harsh personality soon made itself known.

Distinguishing abilities: Pike is a brilliant racer, being completely on top of the 14th Rimba Grand Prix since the start. He's also got the skill and charisma to take over organised crime groups, but whether this translates to Campus diplomacy shall be a real test.

Other: Speaks in this specific shade of blue, #4D728A.

Name: Katsuki Bakugo
Appearance: [Image: katsuki_bakugo_hero_costume_action_pose_9.png]
Gender/Pronouns: He/Him/His.
Backstory and Personality: His personality can be described as crude, arrogant, prideful, aggressive, and short-tempered. However, despite being a major Jerkass, he does seem to at least have enough decency to not use his quirk (Explosion - basically, using nitro-glyceric sweat to create explosions from his hands) to0 recklessly. He is a hero academy student, after all.
Distinguishing Abilities: His Quirk, Explosion. It allows him to sweat nitro-glycerine, which he can use to create explosions from the palm of his hands.
Other: Has special equipment that allows him to use his Quirk more effectively, such as his Grenadier Braces. It's noted that he's got the enhanced Strength needed to use these without trouble, as when a classmate of his who didn't have it tried to use the Grenadier Braces, they nearly dislocated their arm.
Viking Duck is back from Valhalla, and ready to take all the loot. Also, still a friend to animals.

Because I don't feel like letting anyone get left out, I'm going to step down for now. I'll keep Pike's signup stuff up just in case I feel like entering him elsewhere, or if someone wants to swap out.

I suppose you can do that if you want. We'll keep you on-deck as a replacement, though, if that's all right.

GCB, you didn't have to do that. I would've been fine with missing out.

The whole purpose of keeping signups open an entire week is that people don't have to worry about getting in before they fill up.

Really hoping I don't mess this up since I enjoy participating in Danganronpa-esque RPs.

Name: Ranma Saotome

Appearance:

Gender Pronouns: He/him (She/her, though he prefers people even in other form)

Backstory: The Anything Goes Martial Arts is a form of martial arts that takes from many techniques of fighting styles. This challenging technique was created by Happosai, who'd take two students as apprentices under his wing. One of those students was Genma Saotome, who'd go on to branch out the technique. Wanting to keep the tradition going, Genma decided that his only son Ranma Saotome would be the one to carry on this legacy. After some "convincing" of Ranma's mother, she agreed to let him take their son on a 13-14 year journey to perfect his skills. Eventually, at age 16, Ranma nearly reached the end of his journey with another test: He and his father would fight each other while balancing on bamboo sticks over a spring. Unfortunately, and hoisted by their own negligence to listen to the guide master, they failed to realize the Jusenkyo springs were cursed. Both fighters would eventually be knocked off into the cursed springs, where Ranma's father fell into Shonmaonichuan, or Spring of Drowned Panda. While Ranma would unfortunately fall into Nyannichuan, or Spring of Drowned Girl. Now cursed to swap genders dependent on the temperature of water, Ranma would start his quest to not only perfect his skills, but find a way to remove his curse and regain his honor as a man. During his misadventures, Ranma would eventually acquire a letter detailing him as the "Ultimate Martial Artist." While reluctant, he eventually caved at the opportunity to improve and hone his skills.

Personality: As described by Rumiko Takahashi (Creator of Ranma 1/2 & Inuyasha), she sees Ranma as a mixture of "nice, clean-cut, frank, energetic, indecisive, stubborn, picky, stingy, rude, aggressive and sly." All aside, Ranma is typically a good-hearted person who sticks to his own mortalities and beliefs. But Ranma is far from being perfect. Due to being a skilled fighter who's main goal is "to be raised as a man among men," he holds his pride as a man high up there. There's also his own pride in his abilities, in which he brags about his status and power, and how he can't back down from a challenge even against the strongest foe, usually being unable to accept defeat as a result of his prowess as a martial artist. He also has the tendency to be rude and brutally honest, not exactly aware of social cues or when to keep his mouth shut. This typically leads him to calling others that annoy him insults, or sometimes leading to violence and hijinks that only worsen the problem. Along with all this, there's the issue with his own view of manhood, and how his curse keeps him from truly achieving it. Despite his flaws, Ranma still tries to be a good hearted person. He believes a martial artist should protect normal people from harm, along with his refusal to use techniques that could very well kill even his most disliked opponents such as Hipposai. On top of that, while Ranma still wishes to be rid of it, he's more used to his curse than when he first gotten it as it comes with it's own advantages and disadvantages.

Abilities: Being trained in the Anything Goes Martial Arts style, Ranma has vast knowledge of several fighting styles with 13-14 years of experience. Aside from the typical martial arts, there's techniques that have been taught to him. Such as the Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken (or "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire Fist" yes seriously), which while not actually a fighting style, allows Ranma to strike multiple if not hundreds of strikes in seconds. Along with his other signature technique, Moko Takabisha, Ranma 1/2's version of the Kamehameha, where Ranma releases a burst of energy fueled by his own unlimited supply of pride. There's also the many Martial Arts techniques across his journey, such as Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics or Martial Arts Figure Skating. Of course, you can't talk about Ranma without bringing up his curse: The spring's curse that makes him change genders with a splash of water. Cold water is what changes Ranma into his female side, which is faster than normal Ranma, but at the cost of power, range, and weight. And hot water returns him back to his normal form. Ranma's also tactical in a fight, studying his opponent to figure out their own weaknesses and strengths, and all in all relies solely on adaptability.

Other: Called the Ultimate Martial Artist, speaks in dark red.

I somehow forgot there was a dedicated Murder U OOC thread so uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hey y'all signups close in like 15 minutes, get those last-second entries in if you've been putting it off

And that's time. There was only one extra person, so the unlucky one who gets bumped into replacements is Ronnie Pines (MatthewLM).

The rest of you, the game will open either early-to-mid day tomorrow, or on the weekend, depending on whether I find time tomorrow and/or if y'all express a strong preference one way or the other.

So there seems to be a pretty clear preference for the weekend; Saturday or Sunday?

Y'all know Sunday's my day off, so my choice is pretty much obvious. Just putting this here because why not?
