Up arrow That scene is so much funnier when you think of it from the perspective of all those pedestrians; after all, they don't hear the soundtrack, so all they see is a weirdo trying to act cool and failing.
Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

People sure are willing to make long-ass trope pages for works they don't even derive ironic enjoymentfrom.

I imagine many famous movies scenes come off differently from the perspective of pedestrians.

Schafrillas said it was the best sequence in the Spider-Man movies because you were actually meant to cringe at him and it succeeded.

I didn't even know about that fanfic until just now, and I already wish I hadn't.

When the author explicitly thinks that love and friendship are worthless qualities, that brute force is the one true solution for all problems, and outrights states that the protagonists are modeled after FUCKING NAZIS, you know that the work's going to be a total dumpster fire. And that's not to mention his vehement hatred of rounded and dynamic characters - you know, the very thing an actually good story is supposed to have.

I'm not really even a MLP fan and I'm still pissed. Just imagine if Delibirda knew about this...

Actually, it makes me think about the type of people who are "fans" of fun, childish entertainment but are ashamed of liking it, so they try to make it "mature" and "grown-up". Which is missing the point, really.

it's like those people who prefer the DCEU to the MCU because the former is mindless blockbuster trash and the latter is dark and gloomy and oh-so-mature. The problem is, they're god-damn superhero movies! They're supposed to be mindless blockbuster trash! If you want to watch something actually mature, just watch The Third Man or Chinatown or something that's actually artistic and meaningful!

She actually does, though we're not clear to what depth she's actually looked at it; the page came up in the "is this an example" thread and she made a brief comment on it.

This is actually what prompted our comment; the claim that nobody likes the work at all made us wonder how the heck it's got such a big trope page. (The answer seems to be "complaining".)
