Ranma walks back in with some tape and glue. "Hey, uh, Alexis. Mind letting Kellensea borrow some paper? She needs it for something." He said, before looking at the host. "What was that?"

[Huney]

As Heather has a small traumatic episode because of her Kingdom Hearts marathon, Komaru continues.

"Well, can't you just be satisfied with us just..m telling you about ourselves?"

We brought you here. To gather power. From your memories. The memories you've created by being in this game. I shrug at Komaru, almost apologetically. Your existing memories won't do us any good, only new ones. My headmistress needs the power to... well, that's not your business, is it? Batteries don't need to know what they're fueling.

[Huney]

"Do they need to be specifically death game related? How about the memory of us talking right now, won't that do?"

[wahoothis]

"Hey! We're not some fuel source or objects you can use!" Ranma shouted, gripping a fist. "What do you even need our memories or whatever for?"

[wingedcatgirl]

They don't need to be death game related, no... I admit. But it's well known that traumatic memories are more powerful than good ones. And we're on a time crunch. Thus, the game.

And I told you, Saotome. You don't need to know.

[Huney]

"So if we could traumatize each other without specifically killing them...?"

[wahoothis]

"If you need traumatic memories, then I guess you got the right guy for the job, I suppose. Still not going to kill anyone."

[wingedcatgirl]

... I mean. If you wanted to torture each other, I wouldn't stop you. Didn't really think, during planning, that that would go over better than a killing game.

[wahoothis]

"Yeah, planning. If your plan involves gathering a bunch of people in a building to traumatize them, then this must be such a well thought out scheme." He chuckled, rolling his eyes.

[Florien]

Okay, that just helps validate my suspicions. The memory thing being restated. Okay, hurry up with that paper, I need to test this. I'm like 70% sure that behind that door is safe to enter, but I need that paper to know for sure. But... FUCK. Okay, so I'm going to need you to trust me on this. You're going to think "Wow, Kellensea, that's so transparently an attempt to get away with murder", but I think I've figured out a way to get behind the door without a trial, and with all of us surviving. It's somewhat complex, and it DOES involve one of you dying, but you'll probably be fine. But first, first I'll need to check if it is indeed safe behind the door. Once we're behind there, assuming it's safe, I THINK there might be enough things behind there to actually activate a plane shift, maybe make a gate out.

On hearing Ranma's response to the battery thing...

Shush Ranma. Don't taunt the powerful wizard or whatever. Also, yes, you are fuel. You've always been fuel. People are fuel as much as not-people. Everything is fuel if you figure out a way. I mean, there are better sources of power. But people are a decent renewable one.

[Huney]

"Huh?! Woah, no torturing! I was just gonna suggest like... scary movies or something."

I stare at Kellensea, utterly baffled. What... do you think is behind there?

Bow finally catches up with the rest of the group.

Ugh, I don't know when or if my injury will ever heal... huh? Traumatic memories? Is that why you are keeping us here?

[wingedcatgirl]

... How long do your injuries normally take to heal?

[Caret]

Normally, I don't have to experience injuries like this for long since I usually go to the Pokemon Center after battle, but there doesn't even seem to be any medicine designed for Pokemon here, and I never experienced something this severe before, so I honesty don't know.

[Florien]

Well, you did say you need to harvest memories, and you can't really do that from dead people. The soul-gate mechanism would remove them from your sphere of influence. Yet, you tell us to kill. You also mention looping two demiplanes together with no easy access out, and it becomes pretty clear what you're doing, I think.

Kellensea sounds incredibly pleased with herself as she states her hypothesis.

By the way, very clever, what you've done. If I'm correct, you've made this entire demiplane a sacrificial altar, which links the soul-gate to whatever demiplane is behind that door instead of the normal randomization or pledge-gates. So I think everyone who's been killed so far is in the demiplane on the other side of that door. A demiplane which you or one of your friends controls, to some extent. You're trying to be a god. You're creating your own afterlife plane before you've even ascended properly! Which, Kudos, very clever, I wish I'd done that or gotten someone to do that with me. Anyway, my guess is that you probably have at least some spellcasters qualified enough to make a proper plane-shift back there, if you did this before. If not, I'm sure I can think of some trickery to get out. But of course... there's a very obvious vulnerability which you can't close without ruining your whole plan... unless you do some very specific things which I'm sure you'll figure out long after I've succeeded. Anyway, I'm going to exploit it, with the consent of these others. HURRY UP WITH THAT PAPER... Oh fuck it.

She snatches the papers back, but lets the insane lady have a few of the blank ones.

"Not even waiting til I'm dead to touch my stuff, how rude."

Yeah, yeah, this was important, Alexis. Anyway, testing time.

Kellensea takes the notepaper given to her and glues it into a several foot long length of paper, which remains flat on the ground. She then

Alexis just watches, reorganizing her notes. Hopefully she's managed to re-gather all the pages with her writing on them.

"Hey, you're my friend. It's the least I could do! Are you feeling better now, by the way?"

I feel a bit better now. It still hurts to move, but not as much as it used to.
