Ruby takes out the syringes she brought with her to get a blood sample from the cat and Medic.

The blonde kid is stunned for a moment, before momentarily saying: "What the hell? You think that cat's infected? Who the hell gave you the authority to make that call, ya failed nurse?"

"Uh, sure!" Meito runs to get some buckets of water.

".............................you've got to be fucking kidding me. A disease that's cured by water? Why the FUCK would it be here then, huh?"

Beats me. I agree that it's hard to see how it would infect us if water inactivates it, but it's what we saw. If nothing else, it's scientifically interesting that way.

Ruby does, indeed, take a blood sample from the Medic and the cat...

"Take as many samples as you need! I've enough blood to go around."

Medic's ears start to move to the top of his head, and he seems a smidge hairier...

Yeah, he's definitely infected. Water now? After it took hold they - we - I - didn't want to stop being a catperson. And wanted to infect others. That could cause a problem.

"Alright! Water attack!" Meito says as he grabs a bucket and splashes some water on Medic.

"I can cleanse myself later, sank you. First I need to see vat makes zis virus vork. If you need to tie me down, do so."

Medic starts to grow a tail.

Okay, but I warn you I'm arming myself with a spray bottle and will use it if you try to turn me into a catwoman. Again.

I think it means nobody can get murdered here. I dunno. Never been murdered, myself.

Kennifer shrugs.

"...Vell, vat if... ve need to test if ze effects are different ven a cat-human does it zen ven one of ze regular cats does it?"

Well, we already know scratches from a cat-person will also turn someone. And the effects are... varied and not entirely consistent, but I don't think we've seen any differences between people bitten or scratched by the cats themselves and those turned by cat-people. We can ask around about people's experiences there, though. Quite a few were affected.

"I'm better vith hands-on experiments, but suit yourself."

Medic has turned entirely into a catperson.

"Hm... How peculiar..."

"Well, I got cat ears, tails and fur... so basically a furry" Meito says. "Seems like that version happened to a lot of people here! At least the ones who weren't cats before..."

"Meanwhile, like I mentioned, I just turned... less anthro. Maybe because I'm already a cat..." Derana adds.

I... I wonder how you guys all got here... Were you involved in murder at all before you got here?

"I... Maybe? I have trouble remembering. Got a friend who's supposed to help me out with that at some point. I have a vague recollection of being in some... murdergames, and I remember some people from them, but I couldn't tell you the details of what I did other than I'm pretty sure I survived."

Kennifer shrugs again.

"I guess I can let you know if I remember? Unless it's bad enough that I want to forget it again."

"I was in TWO of those games!" Meito says. "The first one... I was the killer for some reason? I don't really like thinking about it, but thankfully none of it was real! The second one included a bunch of challenges, and could actually have been kinda fun if not for the whole "killing" aspect! Thankfully it ended earlier than expected... Sure hope I won't have to join one of those again!"

Meanwhile, Derana is looking down at the ground, her expression having changed to a sad, regretful one. "Oh, right, those games... I was in one too. And I was..." She pauses a bit, "one of the killers. I... didn't even WANT to do this! But... it was like I had no choice... I only ended up killing one other player, but still... it still feels awful... what kind of sick bastards keep setting up these games anyway?"

"Right! Forcing others into these games... just HORRIBLE! And it seems they won't stop any time soon..."

[Kennifer]

"Maybe... Should I be glad I don't remember all the details?"

Kennifer sighs loudly.

"I need a drink."

Elise, who has totally been lurking here for several minutes, ponders Kennifer's question. "... No," she says. "Take it from me - as bad as it is knowing what happened, not knowing would be worse."
