Okay, so.
Smily's clean, unless there's a mafia role that shows as non-mafia to a cop; I'm not sure what the "one-shot mass redirector" does for example.
Cassie being the only one allowed to vote yesterday lines up with Ten being a Kingmaker. Or at least with there being one, but it makes more sense for Ten to be telling the truth with it than for some other random person to have gotten that role by chance and... giving Ten towncred? Yeah that doesn't make sense.
I'm wondering if something got switched or Smily shows as inno when not in whatever other way, or if maybe Cassie... was given TWO scum roles and discarded one. Though he did listen to people and vote for Knife, but that could have been for towncred.

I checked the deck used for this game and the Aliens are the only faction that have a "Mass Redirector"
(fyi, the Mass Redirector allows you to choose which player to make a lightning rod of night actions out of)
The fact that no kill happened last night means the last scum didn't kill...or they struck a Bulletproof.

My investigation of Smily came up clean when he was my main suspect, so I was wondering if the Aliens had a role that would allow that to happen (either showing scum as not-scum or redirecting my investigation to someone else) or if he's actually innocent.
We did know the scum in this are Aliens from Cassie's discarded role and Knife's scumflip, so that's why I was looking at the roles in that particular faction when trying to work out what happened last night.

I will not deny that a two-alien roll is likely given that the roles are all RNG-determined and all

ok there seems to be two alien roles that can yield that "townie" result to you ken, which is the Sympathiser (which works when the hypothetical alien checked is the only alien remaining), and Psychotrooper (who can invert cop results relating to 'guilty/not guilty' alignment)
Smily claimed Bulletproof Townie, which...yeah unfortunately seems to simultaneously contradict and align with some things, cuz... he could be Bulletproof (which would align with the no-death) since the sole Alien with Bulletproof (the Lover) is already down... but IDK about Smily's track record, so I'm suspicious that the no-death is more of an inactivity case than a bulletproof getting targeted...
On the other hand...given that UNLESS there's an insane case where Ten is lying of being Kingmaker and someone else is, I'm p sus of Oz too given that she's been at it with the roleclaim and uh... shit...

Right now I'm not sus of Ten just because Cassie getting kinged would be a huuuuuge coincidence if Ten wasn't Kingmaker.

Well, I won't lie - I discarded the One-Shot Townie because my lack of a track record for Mafia meant I knew not anything about the roles. Ozzy is right to say I'm clean, because the other was a Townie role. I'ma stick with Ozzalina's judgement for now.

Correct. The Alien faction only has a single night kill.

Okay, that sounds like it clarifies the lack of death without needing a bulletproof role.
So provided my investigation of Smily is correct and the fact the Kingmaker claim lines up with yesterday, I'm most sus of Cassie right now… discarding a scum role doesn't eliminate the possibility of both roles he got being scum.
The other possibility of course being the Redirector thing; I had said I was going to investigate Smily so if he had that role he could've redirected at a known townie.
(I'll also fully admit to not being completely familiar with this particular setup of Mafia and what the alien faction roles do.)

i think i have a solve. it relies on these five facts:
1: i cannot be evil, as i have an ability exclusive to the good team.
2: there must be exactly one alien alive right now, due to the continuation of the game.
3: the aliens cannot kill anyone right now, as they have used their one nightkill
4: the psychotrooper cannot be in play if Kennifer is good, as she received true information on Florien
5: the only way for Kennifer to get false information is for the mass redirector to have use their ability.
i propose no executions today and tomorrow. Kennifer investigates Smily an additional two times (in case Cassie is mass redirector and hasn't used his ability yet, which i doubt, but must take into account). no matter if she sees two innocent or two guilty results, it either clears Smily or points straight at them, which would leave exactly two candidates for the last alien: whoever Kennifer's information points to, or Kennifer. no matter the scenario, the aliens cannot tie (and therefore win), leaving us a confirmed good win.
or something else, if someone sees a problem with my reasoning. it seems just a little too good.
