[X looks at Kirby & Ribbon and positively beams.] "Kirby! Ribbon! You guys made it back, too!! I was worried about what was gonna happen to you, since...! Y'know...! You two were zombified with me and all! But hey! Thanks to Dr. Frankie's meds, we should be mostly back to normal now, right?!"
"Mostly. Still gotta find a permanent fuckin' cure for this, but... the pills'll do for now." [Pico pockets his Uzi, his signature smirk wide as ever on his face.] "Already gotta take schizophrenia meds, another pill or two isn't gonna fuckin' change much for me."

[After a moment, Pico feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns around and sees X right behind him.] "GAH—! JESUS FUCK! You didn't need to get so fuckin' close, man!"
"Wait, did I—?! Oops! Sorry about that, Pico!"
"It's fine, just... The hell do ya want?"
[X taps his shoulder.] "Well, the two of us are gonna be working together, right?! Along with everyone else?! And you're kinda small! And I'm pretty tall! So I was wondering if, y'know...!"
[Pico takes a moment to process exactly what X is asking.] "...you want me to fuckin' ride on your shoulders? Izzat what you're saying?"
"Yeah! Pretty much! We'll be unstoppable like that! You'll be able to snipe bad people from above! Besides, if we're stuck like this, we might as well have fun with it, right?!"
"..." [Pico slowly nods, his briefly confused expression reverting back to his usual grin.] "...eh, y'know what, you got a point there."
[Taking that as approval, X crouches down to his knees for Pico, who promptly climbs on. Once he's stabilized, X stands back up straight, a dorky smile on his face. This is... the happiest X has looked since his first day on the island, actually.] "Teammates!!"
"Teammates," [Pico echoes, chuckling to himself.] "Y'know, I'm liking you way fuckin' better than your source already."
"What?! Aw, come on, he's not that bad, is he?!"
"Eh, got a history with 'im. I'll tell ya later."

Alpotophis notices a bottle of booze on the ground, probably left over from those that left. He picks it up, contemplating it for a bit. Then, he throws it behind him. Let's just seize the moment for now, you know? Everything...it won't be as bad as we think. We just have to hope.

There's no need for you to say sorry about that, Hitomi. It's not your fault. It's mine. But, yes... until we find a cure we're all somewhat contagious if we bite or scratch people, I'm afraid.
But when we do, well... I can use it on the animals too. You can go back to England, Mr. Sholmes. And there will be pterodactyls in the sky once more!
