Shoehorn! For a minute there I... I wasn't sure it would work.
My friend Amelia found me, like she found you eventually. But after I was revived, my cousin came, and tried to take back my island, and only a few of my new employees made it out alive, and I had to... kill the ones that had contracted the virus. The one I made.
But, never mind that. That cat, yes, on both of us... but you're not dead anymore.

Frankie, there was something I did want to ask you had we made it longer in that house.
He stands up, pacing around.
You see, ever since the events that had happened on my old island and when I came back to the world, my life had really fallen to shambles. See, my daughter no longer wants anything to do with me, my parents have been long dead, and since so much has involved in the past 25 years, I cannot keep up at all. All the trends, the social atmosphere these days... they don't even sell VHS tapes anymore. Got those blasted things called Blu-Rays now. But I'm rambling on. My point is, I can't make it in the real world. But when we arrived in that house, meeting you and seeing how much we have in common, I never felt so alive in such a long time. Now here's what I want. I want to work with you.... on your island. That's where I belong, working with nature. Enjoying the animals and the fauna life, even if there have been zombie problems. And I'll even do it all for free too. I don't really have much need for money anyway. Just my one compensation that's good enough for me is to be working with you, Frankie. Someone who's intelligent, passionate, and funny. You remind me so much of my late wife. And working with you will be just the new start my life needs right now.

Shoehorn, I would love to have you working side by side with me on the island. It's not that glamorous, and it's not easy, but I think you understand that don't you? Working just for a good cause? Taking pleasure in the wild spaces and the wild creatures. I realized it too, we do have a lot in common. Willing to sacrifice a lot for what we believe. And yes, there is... a zombie problem. But I think if I can get my hands on enough ingredients, I can make a lot more of the medicine I use to keep myself... sane. I think we're going to need it. I have an idea.

Well... nothing good in life is glamorous or easy, but that's the way I like it. Go through life and take on new challenges, and in somewhere that is my true environment. Whatever you need done, I will be your man until the end. And do tell me what idea you have.

Good. I'm very, very glad to have you with me. I want to make a lot more of my medicine... not just for us. I think if I revive my employees and I have enough of it to give to them, they'll be okay. Like I am. Like you will be. What I had to do to them... it wasn't right. And eventually... I can find a cure. I know it. Shoehorn... you could have your wife again. I'm sure you know where she's buried.

Amelia...., Shoehorn pulls out the drawing of the picture Maria made of him and his wife, some 20 years ago. He starts to tear up. You.... you'd really do that? Bring her back.... for me? I'm.... touched. I'd love to have her back again. I just hope she can deal with how much things have changed in the past 20 years, since...., he pauses a bit, remembering the last time he saw her alive. She had just given birth to Hyacinth. But unfortunately, she ended up bleeding pretty badly. And with no one else on the island with them.... no doctors.... no hospitals..... all he could do was hold her in his arms, trying to make her feel comfortable in her last moments on Earth as she would eventually pass away in his arms. He sheds the tears from his eyes, with a newfound look of determination.
Yes, Frankie. We'll do it. We'll bring your employees back to life, and I can show you where my wife is. And we will find a cure for this zombification, to bring us all back to normal. I'm ready to work with you on this cause. So... ready to go, then?

...I'm afraid you're all infected now. But so was I, before you even came here. I have this medicine that will help you... stay yourself, mentally. I made it myself, and until now I've only been able to make a very small amount only for myself. But you'll have to take it, now. Until I can find a cure.
