>search the barracks for clues
There was a large hole in Boris's door.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-01-2021

[Skid and Pump groggily wake up, still a little dazed from the battle yesterday, and—OH FUCK NO. Well, this is off to a great start. Why Boris, of all people?!]

>search the King's Quarters for a corpse

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-01-2021

>search the King's Quarters for a corpse
No corpse here.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-01-2021

>is the corpse by the market?

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-01-2021

>is the corpse by the market?
No.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Mackie - 03-01-2021

> search the market for weapons that could have put a hole through Boris' door

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-01-2021

>search the market for weapons that could have put a hole through Boris' door
The hole seemed too big for any of these weapons.

Boris's body was fiound, rather, in the Arena.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Mackie - 03-01-2021

Jessie walks to the Arena and holds her head in her hands. Not Boris...

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-01-2021

[Upon catching sight of the body, Skid immediately tries to flee back to the barracks. Pump has to grab him by the back of his skeleton costume to keep him in place.] “Wha—?!”

“Skid, come on.”

“B-but I don't wanna be near the d-dead people!”

[Pump inhales, lets out a very, very long deep sigh, and looks Skid straight in the eyes.] “I know. We're losing a lot of friends here, and you're sad. I get it. I'm hurt, too. But you can't just run away from it to cry every time it happens. Don't you wanna stop it from happening?”

“Y-yeah...?”

“Well, we need to find the murderers. If you're hiding in the barracks instead of...” [Pump struggles to pronounce the next word for a bit.] “...in... inv... investigating, then we might miss something that you would easily notice, and then the big dragon might kill an innocent guy because of it!”

[Skid shudders a bit at the thought of executing an innocent by mistake, prompting Pump to pat him on the shoulder reassuringly.] “Don't worry. As long as we work together, we'll find the murderers who killed Boris, and we'll... what's the word? Avenge? We'll avenge him! Won't we?”

[Silence. Then, Skid smiles, ever so slightly.] “Y... yeah! We'll avenge him!” [He raises an arm into the air, determined.] “For Boris!”

[Pump smiles right back, more than happy to see Skid mostly back to his former self.] “Yeah! For Boris!”

[With that, Skid climbs right back onto Pump's head, both of them ready to once more scour the castle for clues.]

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-01-2021

>oh yeah, investigating the corpse itself would be a good start

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-02-2021

>Examine Boris's corpse
He had three small bloody holes in his chest.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - EeveeGirlChey - 03-02-2021

"Oh, God... Who would even gun him down like this? I'll find out!"

> Search barracks for clues.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-02-2021

>Search barracks for clues.
The only weapon that could have done a thing like that is the spears.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-02-2021

>compare the available spears to Boris's wounds to see if they could've actually been the murder weapon

> See if Boris's gun was used for the murder weapon

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-02-2021

>compare the available spears to Boris's wounds to see if they could've actually been the murder weapon
It was difficult to tell one way or another.

>See if Boris's gun was used for the murder weapon
They were too small for the Kalashinov to have made.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-02-2021

Now, if we can be real.... the only others that used guns in battle I can think of are Jessie and Robin. Why don't you two put your weapons out for inspection and see if they were used to kill Boris.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Mackie - 03-02-2021

Jessie unholsters her Service Weapon and lays it out on the table. It is a sleek block of solid metal, thrumming slightly at the touch as if it is alive. There is no loading mechanism or hole for a bullet to fire through.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - EeveeGirlChey - 03-02-2021

Robin pulls his SMG out and lays it down on the table as well. It was your typical black machine gun. It appears it has not kept properly maintained as most of it was covered in the blood and gunk of the baddies he and his housemates have encountered. Only the handle was kept clean.

"I'm sorry if it's a bit gross..."

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Oggy123 - 03-02-2021

Magolor then floats into view.

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - KungFuCutbug - 03-02-2021

[Seeing that nobody else is doing it...]

>compare Jessie and Robin's weapons to the wounds to see if either of them could've been the murder weapon

RE: Castle of Beasts: An NME Murdergame - Guma - 03-03-2021

>compare Jessie and Robin's weapons to the wounds to see if either of them could've been the murder weapon
The holes seemed small enough to come out of either of the two guns.
