Eki and Anya jump back a bit upon seeing Maple's corpse.
"So. I-It was true after all."
Anya takes a deep breath. She's been desensitized to this kind of stuff. "By the Goddess's name! That... that looked absolutely brutal. I hoped this killing nonsense was just a one-time thing, but... welp. Rest in peace, Maple." Anya wipes away a tear.
"Anyways... w-we need to investigate this, now. We should establish a lead at minimum, unless we want to... wake up to the sight of more corpses."

Umm... this town does have a penchant for weird artifacts and stuff. There's a lot of that. Whether any of them were used and/or even actually work? Hard to say.

...Well, I've got to fill yet another room, that X.C.O.P.Y. kid packed up early... Made a whole song and dance about having to go deal with something about his girlfriend... Maybe I should be more careful about renting to kids, but then again if I didn't, I'm sure someone would and I'd lose out on...

After chatting with Neptune, Bunyan and Babe head back to their cabin and sleep for the rest of the night.OOC note: I got permission from Neptune's player, Zanreo, to make the convo between Bunyan and Neptune happening offscreen a thing, on the RP's Discord
After waking up, Bunyan gently nudges Babe awake.
"Good morning, Babe~"
Babe yawns in a cutesy manner, making Bunyan giggle. Bunyan grabs her axe and exits the door, with Babe following her.
...That's when Bunyan eventually finds out that Maple has been murdered.
"Quoi?!" Bunyan gasped. "Maple's dead!"
She turned to face the others. "I take we don't have a lead yet, right?"
And now time to investigate.

You aren't seeing anything at a quick glance you can pinpoint as suspicious in other cabins.
...I hope you and Adrianna are speed demons going through all the cabins quickly, though, and willing to face the wrath of your fellow campers and Ed for going through every cabin with no previous suspicions. Or warrant, but hey, nobody seems to be too fussed about the police here.
