RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-10-2022

It seems likely that this will be a good precaution, yes.

I do think we may have a better idea once we learn Louis and Marie's true role.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-10-2022

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Magolor - 10-10-2022

This whole farce is coming to an end soon anyway. Go ahead, jail me if you wish. I won't go down without a fight.

He gives the deadliest glare yet, and is even sneering.

I clearly am not your friend, and I'll go down either way. As you can probably guess, I've aligned myself with the Children of Death. For I too received a message, and decided it would be better in the end to side with them. As far as I can tell, their promises have only fallen apart. I'll even consider joining your side if you'll let me. Even if you aren't, you have two chances here. So, who are you going to choose? Someone amongst yourselves is in a good position to betray the rest. It's rather obvious to me.

He starts walking away from the group.

Believe me or not, I won't be able to do anything tonight. Take that however you wish.

And he starts a resonance as he pads off. Interrupt him if you wish.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-10-2022

If you really are an Amnesiac, you can't have chosen yet. We know that. It would have bene announced, Samantha says. If you are, yes, I'd rather you choose the Innocents. I'm not sure why you wouldn't have last night, unless something was blocking you. Were there any indications that the killers were ever going to win this game? Regardless of the fact that we wrongfully hanged Cass. Which, if you really are an amnesiac, gave you a choice.

And you know I rejected the offer in the letter. It's pretty clear from how I voted, isn't it. Why would I accept such an offer now? If that was part of your meaning. We find all the killers, I survive. We're on our way to doing that.

Of course, you could be something else entirely that hasn't even been brought up.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Florien - 10-10-2022

Interesting.

Giroro is, of course, trying very hard to present as a threat. Now, obviously we can drop him tomorrow, but I think the real question is whether the Wannabe turned or not. Either they came for me two nights ago, or they turned the wannabe and attempted to frame me in the event that they were wrong.

Obviously, we will know if the wannabe has turned, because if they have not, we win right now the moment Louis and Marie drop dead of being murderers. If they have, we have time yet to wait, and time yet to solve, due to the only one enemy on the field, unless Giroro makes a decision that will only get him killed, assuming he CAN in fact, make that decision, and has not been pretending the decision was entirely his to make.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-11-2022

There were two nights we found nobody dead in the morning, as I recall. One may have turned the Wannabe and one may have been an attempt on someone else which was foiled, such as on yourself when you Commuted.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - TheOtherCG - 10-11-2022

"In case you want us to leak who's who, we won't. We cannot confirm or deny if there's a Rolestopper amongst us. That's disrespectful for the remaining Cultist, after all. For now, we shall await for our execution..."
Marie and Louis embraced each other one last time as they patiently wait for their execution.
"Marie-Thérèse, Louis Charles... Please forgive us for not being there with you..." Marie somberly muttered to herself.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - TheOtherCG - 10-11-2022

^ *Rolestopper/Wannabe

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-11-2022

You must have noticed that every time someone dies we learn what they were able to do. Once we know what you were able to do, we'll be able to figure out some things via process of elimination, whether you cooperate or not.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Florien - 10-11-2022

Indeed, indeed. Your execution brings no stealth to your role. We shall be delivered in every way from this torment.

Joseph Habersham and Timothy Pickering spit upon your shallow grave, for your crimes against the US postal service.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - wingedcatgirl - 10-11-2022

I don't think they ever existed at the same time as the US Post...? Right now doesn't count since they were absolutely isolated, Life adds, cutting Death off before they said whatever they were going to say.

... Well, all right then. Let's get on with this.

Death snaps their fingers.

Louis and Marie are strapped into a pair of guillotines. There's no executioner at the lever, though - instead it's tied to a wheel sitting in a dry canal.

On the other end of the room, a bisected hourglass slowly drops sand onto a scale... until it tips, knocking a domino over.

The domino starts a chain, across the top of a bookshelf, dropping the last piece onto a bumper that sends it flying into a pane of glass, which shatters to reveal some pungent cheese...

...

... oh, what the fuck -

Vince is clutching a freshly-strangled rat, its tail tied to... oh, whatever. It doesn't matter. It's not going anywhere now.

"I wanted one thing that was just mine. One thing you wouldn't drag into your world-domination crap. If you're not even going to give me that, I'm done taking your shit. Do your worst, I don't care anymore."

Death would be blinking in bewilderment if they had eyes. ... have it your way.

Another fingersnap, and Vince is now strapped into a third guillotine that exists suddenly.

Goodbye, my faithless servant.

Death pulls the lever.

... slice!

Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were Death Cultist Strengtheners.

Vince Ruiz has been terminated.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-11-2022

Poor Yuuta and Suzume are... shaken, to say the least.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Florien - 10-11-2022

No! Vince! You were evil and bad and probably in favor of privatizing the postal service, but you interrupted the Rube Goldberg insanity and for that I magnanimously forgive you for all the murder! Also, poor form, embodiment of death. Deathtrap Rube Goldberg machines by law must be accompanied by the music "Powerhouse."

Overlynd overdramatically pretends to faint.

Anyway, moving on, gruesome, and also there's no roleblocker. There's... a strengthener. Well. That makes tomorrow easy, I think, unless somehow Giroro manages to pick up a role and get it announced between now and then. Also, the french revolution and the office of postmaster general of the united states coexisted, so now you know! That's why those previous postmasters in particular spit upon their grave.

Though their crime against the postal service was their current one, not any old ones that they may or may not have done.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - wingedcatgirl - 10-11-2022

Huh. I admit, I've never had a great grasp of human timescales.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-11-2022

Samantha winces. I wish we didn't have to do that. I really do. When you bring back Cass and Felicia, which you said you will, can you also bring back Vince? He's... was... an okay guy. Did you just take over his spa or something?

But yeah... Strengtheners. Not Roleblockers And the remaining killer can only be a Wannabe. There's really no way to say that Giroro isn't lying. That makes this easier. Should I Jail him or should Yuuta? Either one of us doing it should be perfectly sufficient. Clearly, I was right and there was never an Amnesiac at all.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 10-11-2022

Tyson grimaces upon seeing Louis, Marie and Vince get beheaded. Dang!

Now trying to figure out the right course of action on who should jail Giroro, Tyson has his say.

You theem to know what you're doin', tho my vote'th on Thamantha! But if da kid wanth to do it, I ain't got any qualmth!

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-11-2022

"Perhaps i could do it..."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-11-2022

Yuuta than observes Pippin. "What an interesting bird...."

Suzume lands near the penguin and also observes him in curiosity.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-11-2022

If you wish, Yuuta. As long as we're clear about who's doing what and we don't interfere with one another.

Samantha is going to > Try to construct somewhere cozy and comforting for Pippin the Piplup. Hopefully there's a blanket around she can use and use her Lord of the Rings books to make it into a structure.

I'll be okay, Pippin. We'll get Felicia back for you.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PointMaid - 10-11-2022

*It'll, not I'll

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - PopcornPie - 10-11-2022

Nico smiles at Samantha's efforts to comfort Pippin, then moves in to join her. It wasn't just Pippin who was going to need a nrw place to sleep. "We're gonna get your trainer back for sure now! Don't worry!"

>Construct makeshift rooms for the other Pokémon. He doesn't know how to make a proper habitat for each one, but effort is better than nothing.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 10-11-2022

Tyson just smiles at Pippin after watching Samantha trying to comfort him over the death of his owner. Before he just wanted to eat him because he was hungry for a meal. But now he's had a change of heart.

Don't worry, lil' buddy! You ain't gonna be a meal while I'm around! Any of you try to take a bite outta him, you're all gonna need both a dentith and a proctologith when I'm done with you!

> Join Samantha in helping construct a structure for Pippin

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-11-2022

"I'll help you too, you sweet little bird."

> Also help Samantha in making that structure.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - wingedcatgirl - 10-11-2022

>Pokémon Zone (@PointMaid, @PopcornPie, @"The Hammer Brother", @Oggy123)
With the four of them working together, they manage to construct a luxurious pillow castle for Pippin to curl up in. And also Felicia's other Pokémon that presumably exist.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: MY EARS (Day 4) - Oggy123 - 10-12-2022

> Look for some snacks.
