RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-04-2022

After Yoshiko, who you know about, we caught Liz, who was also part of this Death cult. Unfortunately, earlier today we voted for Cass, but she was innocent.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 10-04-2022

Whoa! Can't believe Liz wath one of 'em I had my thuthpithionth and all, but she theemed cool. Wath hopin' she wathn't, but dath the bad thing. Tyson proceeds to give a loud roar of defiance.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-04-2022

Samantha nods emphatically at that last part. We are indeed not going down easily, Mr. Tyson.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Kennifer - 10-05-2022

"I'm definitely going to do what I can to help." Felicia nods.

Just to be sure and while we're on the subject... I'm understanding that a Wannabe is on the side of the Killers from the start, but doesn't know them. Do they have their own safeclaim?

Death starts to speak, but immediately falters. Shit, do they? I don't remember what I did. They pull out a notepad and start flipping through the pages.

> Perhaps i could go to the Rec Room and look for some anime to watch. (@Oggy123)
There's plenty of box sets to choose from. Cable doesn't work anymore though.

Okay, it's looking like... wait, why should I help you with this? I want you to be lost and confused!

Life rolls their eyes. No, the Wannabe has no safeclaim.

Hey, how the hell do you know that?

I peeked over your shoulder when you were reading your notes.

[COLOR=7dbd230"Hi, Tython! Look, I'm dead!"[/COLOR] And Nico wiggles his ghostly feet at Mike Tyson.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

So, a wannabe wouldn't have a safeclaim. That's good to know. Could be helpful.

Score! There's a stack of slice-of-life manga about someone running a cat cafe while also being a government spy. The title is in an unfamiliar language, but it seems like it might contain something like "Wildfire".

I'm gonna set the sun soon. I forgot I had to do that myself around here.

"Soon" here being some time tomorrow after 7:30 PM ET.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - TheOtherCG - 10-05-2022

"Hello, Monsieur Tyson!" Marie greeted.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-05-2022

Yuuta goes to where Mike Tyson is, bringing the manga.

"Oh, you're back!"

Suzume chirps happily at him.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-05-2022

Oh, you didn't fall through the floor and into the eternal void warehouse where the mail that gets lost in the undelivered mail storage center goes to and where reside the foul pits of boiling envelope glue that are too good a place for Louis DeJoy to be condemned to? I assumed being two dimensional caused that.

Excellent! By the way, we're fairly sure you're innocent, and we're fairly sure Louis (the king not the postmaster general) and Marie are guilty. And someone else, of course. But we'll see what Giroro does tomorrow dawn, and I'll avoid being dead.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

...Their getting confused doesn't look good, true. But given that it led to the correct apprehension of Yoshiko, after I pointed out the relevant clause in the rulebook, I'm skeptical of using it as the only mark against them. Is there anything else?

Consider that you, Overlynd, accused Nico of being a killer and setting himself up in a too-obvious manner when he was the heavy, you were wrong about Cass, and you were wrong about me. I'm getting a little tired of your hunches without something more to back them up.

Could they have made that bad of a mistake, though, as to immediately make them and their teammate suspicious? Possibly. In any case, we have the night to think things over and perhaps gather what information we can.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

...I also realized something. It's possible I owe quite a debt of gratitude to Yuuta. If the killers had gone after me last night, they wouldn't have been able to kill me, since I was Jailed. Which would also explain there being no death last night.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-05-2022

"Well, perhaps that what happened, and i just chose the right target by accident... Anyway, perhaps we'll be getting closer to finding the other cultists tomorrow."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-05-2022

Yuuta looks toward the ceiling.

"I'm sorry, Cass..."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-05-2022

Don't be ridiculous. Nico wasn't a hunch, there was no information to go off there, so it was either Nico or literally anyone else. I decided it didn't matter, and Nico revealed himself as the heavy, giving us an enormous help. I was only wrong about you because it said nowhere that YOU had a safeclaim. Cass was not guaranteed, and current death, in fact, gave us an opportunity to check Giroro and save him.

To my knowledge, Louis and Marie never stopped claiming to be the Jailer, when we know Yuuta is the real jailer.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-05-2022

"Well, I never heard anything different from anyone since the role claims." Nico shrugged.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

Hmmm. Wracking my memories, I believe you're right about that. For some reason I'd thought they'd been claiming the Bus Driver role along with Yoshiko, which they did, but then they turned around and claimed Jailer, didn't they. Which... Oggy being that certainly does line up with what I've experienced.

This is why I need to write things down.

(OOC: And by wracking my memories, I mean reading back through that section of the thread)

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

* I meant to say Yuuta rather than Oggy, of course

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-05-2022

I may owe you an apology, Overlynd.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Kennifer - 10-05-2022

"At any rate I have figured out what I think is best for me to do tonight, and informed Nico of this."

Pippin is now tugging at Felicia's pant leg. She picks him up and holds him, which seems to calm him down.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-06-2022

"I think we need to take a break. See you in the morning."

Yuuta then goes in his room and starts reading the manga.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-06-2022

Nico nodded to Felicia, then went back to the Rec Room. Now that he's dead, he doesn't need to sleep in his own room anymore. Or even take his medicine. So, if you think about it, being dead is pretty sweet.
