The pets calm the capybara down enough help Jake get her out of the water. That definitely went... easier than expected, anyway
The bouncy leaf hammock isn't the greatest, but it's not bad for a quickly improvised situation. If it starts to tear, Jake changes plan and reinforces the weak area. And the capybara doesn't try to leave as she gives birth. That's... thinking like a heavily pregnant capybara, huh, Jake?
That's a lot to haul around in a backpack, but Jake eventually does get a tip about a capybara escaped from a zoo. Whew.

What the fuck do capybaras like, thinks Destiny. Fruit? Maybe. Destiny finds herself the nicest fruit she can find, and then sets up a simple pit trap. Covers it with sticks and leaves and puts the fruit right on top. At least capybaras are smaller than humanoids, she thinks.
2. Aww! The capybara looks like she's pregnant. I think we'll need to make a suitable location for the mama capybara to give birth. And we're gonna need some capybara food, she's going to be hungry.
More fruit? Once the capybara's nice in the pit, Destiny can retrieve it, put it in her cabin, put it in her bed (she's always prefered the floor anyways, she thinks.) for it to give birth. And also the fruit. Look, beds are places for things to give birth, right? She also offers the capybara some Tylenol.
3. Where did the capybara come from? Do your best to help figure out where this capy came from and where she and her little ones should be returned to, presumably.
Look up local zoos in the area. One of them probably lost it. If any of them report a missing capybara, call them up to collect it. If they don't, or if they're one of those shitty zoos that, she doesn't know, makes capybaras pole dance for lettuce, she's just going to call a nearby good zoo and demand they pick it up or else.

The capybara is easily lured by the fruit and falls into the trap. She seems to be unhurt; you can see her in the pit munching an apple. (Rolled 10.)

The capybara finds your bed very comfy, making herself a nice nest in the blanket to have her babies. She's not going to turn down more fruit, either, she and the babies seem to be doing well. (Rolled 9).

You're having some trouble finding zoos that are open now. The one you do get ahold of, though, seems pretty excited about the capybaras, so you drop them off. Too bad it was one of the shittier zoos... maybe that's why she escaped and will do so again. (Rolled 1.)

The museum does indeed have a large enough cage. Lucky Victoria.
The cookout probably had some salad, right? She eats the salad right up. But not the leftover meat. The cage isn't making he very calm for the birthing process and there's no soft bedding, so it's not ideal, but soon enough the cage contains not just mama capybara, but babies, too.
Victoria's also lucky on this one. Word gets around that an escaped capybara has been found, and the zoo comes to pick her up.

XCOPY rolls a 5+2 for singing ability and charisma on the first task, a 2+2 for singing ability and charisma on the second task, and a 7 on the third. This gives him a score of 18.
The capybara is pretty curious about X's song, and it calms her down enough to come over and get in the kennel. After a lot of sniffing around.
The shady spot is maybe not that great, but the capybara is persuaded to go there. And she doesn't seem to be that enamored with oranges. Nevertheless, there are some cute, healthy babies.
X does indeed find local zoos - and manages to call one with an escaped capybara. Well done.

"Whoa! A fuzzy thing!" Maple ponders how to use insects to solve this problem, and swiftly realizes... he has no idea how bugs can help here. Oh well, he can still use the direct route - wade out into the river and grab the capy with his bare hands. This is a plan without flaw nor possibility of error.

Also maybe the anomaly had something to do with all this. Maybe possibly. Maple's taking a shot in the dark here but it seems worth checking.

The direct route works surprisingly well here. You do manage to grab the capy... and kind of ride her into shore because of your small size. Hey, whatever gets the job done! (Rolled 10).

You're a bit distracted getting your bug friends to help you that while you get some good plants (probably not quite enough since your plant eating bugs seem hungry too) your enclosure isn't as fancy as you'd like. Still, the momma capy is able to bed down and have her babies eventually. (Rolled 1 +2 for insect affinity on both parts for a total of 3.)

You go through the phone book a bit and call around, finding a zoo the capybara has escaped from, and you get her returned. The wifi connection is a bit spotty for online research but at least you found it the old fashioned way. (Rolled 6.)

Bunyan cuts down a tree, puts said tree in the river and she and Babe get on it. As the tree gets close to the capybara, Bunyan grabs her and holds her tightly as the three get off the tree and return to land.

Bunyan rolls an 8+2 for lumberjacking and strength on the first task, 2+1 for lumberjacking on the second, and 10+1 for ability to converse with animals on the third. This gives her 24 points.
The improvised tree boat works pretty well, and Paul is easily strong enough to pull the capybara onto the tree.
The capybara gets all scared with the trees flying, and freaks out when Paul starts building the cabin! She eventually gets comfortable and has her babies, but it's not ideal.
Finally, her attempt to use Babe as an intermediary to ask the capybara directly where she came from works surprisingly well. The capybara had heard the name of the zoo she was at many times, and Paul is able to use that to find her home.
