RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-01-2022 "ANd would you know anything about Samantha's visit, Yuuta?" RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-01-2022 There are only four ways Cass could have lived. Jailed, Redirected from onto a probably nonexistent bulletproof, actually is bulletproof, or turned. I'm immune to being redirected on to when I'm doing the rounds. We know there's a jailer and a driver. Only one could have been active the past night. So would the one who was active tell me if they did anything to Cass last night? The answer determines whether we perfect this or not and get out with no casualties on our part. Aside from Ravi. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-01-2022 ...Or if a jailer was active, they could have jailed me and I didn't realize I couldn't do what I set out to do. That would have worked too. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-01-2022 Nico simply kept his gaze on Yuuta. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-01-2022 Samantha sees Nico gazing intently at Yuuta, having already asked if they knew anything about her visiting Cass. Her gaze is on Yuuta too now. ...Yuuta? RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-01-2022 We already know Yutta is the jailer, yes. Because of the queen and king's bizarre claims at the start. I shall again look at the brochure later, to determine which was active, but only one was. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-02-2022 ...And this is one reason I wanted people to tell Nico what they were doing early enough. So people trying to help catch killers wouldn't get tangled up in what we were all doing. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-02-2022 "Yep, he tried to jail you, Samantha! I don't know why it didn't work." RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-02-2022 ... It did work, clearly. I just thought I'd visited Cass, which is why nothing happened. Maybe I was thinking about it so hard I imagined it. And now I'll probably be useless tonight, since even if I know what Cass did I wasn't able to visit. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-02-2022 "And if you don't know what Cassie did, we don't know if she tried to kill and was stopped." RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-02-2022 "Um, sorry about that..." Yuuta said. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-02-2022 Alright. So, there's two possible candidates from what I can see. Well, actually three. Felicia is almost certainly the stalker, but might be lying about that. Diluc has disappeared, but could possibly be a killer, though I doubt it. An attempt WAS made last night. Or Cass is the one. I suspect the killer is someone who roleclaimed. Cass is the obvious choice. As much as I'd like to have this go off without the hitch of ever losing someone, Cass is a clear choice. And if Cass is innocent, well, Giroro can simply... assume the role of Cass, and thus survive, and Cass will live anyway. The embodiment of life did say that if we eliminate everyone on death's team, the dead who were not against life get back up. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-02-2022 So, you actually saw someone coming after you last night, Overlynd? Just making clear, you're absolutely sure you were targeted? RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-02-2022 I'm eighty percent sure either I or you were targeted. Someone must have been, otherwise the whole elaborate evidence, such as the burning things and the pile of criminally obtained mail would not be there. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-02-2022 ... Probably, yes, with the spilled mail. At least make it clear what you're sure of. > Just to be thorough, can you find any other evidence that Overlynd was targeted last night? RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - wingedcatgirl - 10-02-2022 > Just to be thorough, can you find any other evidence that Overlynd was targeted last night? (@PointMaid) Nothing obvious sticks out. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-02-2022 "So what you're saying is that Cass might be one of the cultists." RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-02-2022 Yes. I should have thought that would be obvious. In fact, not only is Cass almost certainly one of the cultists, but also if Cass ISN'T one of the cultists, that actually doesn't hurt us at all, because Giroro, not wanting to die, will take up Cass's role, and Cass will be brought back anyway when we catch the last one. So, in fact, I think we should send Cass to the firing squad. First class. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Magolor - 10-02-2022 O-oi, you aren't thinking of forcing me to become a town, are you!? RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-02-2022 I'm thinking of giving you the option to survive. You won't last long if you never manage to claim a role, and you die if you join the side of the cult, if indeed you are an amnesiac. If Cass is innocent, that is a opportunity postage paid for you to survive and keep doing whatever it is you want to do that involves not being dead. I should think we're not forcing you into anything, and in fact, giving you hope of getting out of this alive. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Oggy123 - 10-02-2022 Yuuta looks at Giroro briefly, then remarks "Well, i guess so, but perhaps we should hear what Cass has to say." Suzume nods. RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Dookie - 10-02-2022 "I should clear this up. I am the One-Shot Bulletproof, and Niko can attest that that is what I told him on the second day." RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PopcornPie - 10-02-2022 "Yep. That's what you told me." RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - PointMaid - 10-02-2022 Okay, that's what you told Nico. That could still be a Safeclaim. The rules definitely do not exclude that as a safeclaim for the killers. Now, looking at your voting history... you were the last one to vote for Yoshiko, after I'd already exposed their lie by looking closely at the rule pamphlets. And you were... the third to vote for Liz. The logic was again sound on that one with little way to wriggle out of it, she'd been lying about her role with no reason to do so if she'd actually had been an innocent. But that's all circumstantial. I should've asked this yesterday, I really should have, but... Overlynd, is there anything else that makes you think Cass is an attempted killer? RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: ... hello? (Day 3) - Florien - 10-02-2022 Yeah, I thought so. There are three candidates for the last killer, as I said. Everyone else has been confirmed innocent, one way or another. Those three Candidates are Felicia, who almost certainly claimed stalker, Diluc, who disappeared and never claimed, and Cass. If they'd received a safe claim with parity, they probably wouldn't have gotten the wrong parity on the claim of bus driver. (though of course, they may have not read the brochure, because I was unaware of that parity rule until it was revealed.) So it's unlikely to be the stalker. They presumably also used the safe claim, because if they didn't that would mean two of them died for nothing. Cass claimed on the day, and has a role without parity. Therefore, it's almost certainly Cass. |
