RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"Since even if there is a Vanilla-izer they wouldn't have gotten a chance to act yet, yeah someone claiming Townie is worth noting."

Felicia pauses.

"With no one claiming Watcher, the lineup starting with Odd-Night Stalker works out, which gives us a good bit of information, so..."

Liz notices something in Nico's count.

Wait, are you sure you've got the right count on your stuff? Does that account for the fact that the claim switched? Also, what happens if Louis happens to be a Bus Driver and Marie was a Jailer or something?
I still think you should consider them, but still. Just because someone faints from the stress doesn't mean they didn't commit a crime...
Maybe they fainted because they knew it was the end for them.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Whistle - 09-08-2022

You're not considering the concrete evidence here! There's a literal glove... and if Ravi was strangled, then maybe the glove fits the marks.
Liz thinks for a moment.
Everyone, give me your hands! We gotta see how they fit!

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

...I'm going to assign you some reading. This will not be on the quiz. It could save our lives, though, so I suggest you do the homework.

[*Samantha drops a stack of the pamphlets outlining the rules in front of Liz*]

The glove might not even have been used to strangle Ravi, or it might've, but it was in Nico's room and was pretty clearly there to frame him.

But, yes, it does appear that apart from Yoshiko, the person who claimed to be a vanilla townie deserves investigation.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"And let's not forget that two people said they were Gunners."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Whistle - 09-08-2022

Hmm, yeah, about that. Maybe someone should try and visit this Malos guy sometime tonight. He might have this ugly bulletproof armor, but under that he's still just skin and bones.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

The Gunner situation is definitely something to look into as well, yes.

I'm wondering if Nico received claims regarding which nights the Gunners were allowed to operate, whether they were both odd night gunners or whether one claimed to be an even night gunner or something of the sort. Or if only one claimed to be an even or odd night gunner and the other said nothing about it. Perhaps trying to pass off being a Dualgunner as an even or odd night gunner.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TenOfSwords13 - 09-08-2022

Are we certain that we should really be executing right now? I feel like hopping straight into killing our own on the word of these alleged... very convincing avatars may not end up well!

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"Yes, we should. They said they'd kill one of us randomly if we don't."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

Samantha nods. I may not believe them about everything, but I do believe them about that part. Especially that one. At that last line, she looks toward the Avatar of Death. And especially since they're agreeing about it.

"I keep thinking it over and over again, I swear! I dunno, Marie and Louis are acting like they're together. They said 'we are'. Yuuta says he's the Even-Night Jailer, Yoshiko says odd-night driver, and Liz didn't say which gunner she is, neither did Malos."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Zanreo - 09-08-2022

"H-hey, pls chill a bit!" Yoshiko seems overwhelmed. "There's a lot of sus claims going around.. but yeah, pretty sure Louis and Marie work together as the same role. Plus, would be good to know who this supposed "vanilla townie" is... assuming the Vanillaizer didn't use their power right away, it's likely someone who want to keep their real role secret... to hide a powerful role, or for more malicious purposes?"

"Anyway, I still find all that switching highly sus... feels like they're trying to cover up something."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-08-2022

The Vanillizer couldn't have used their power immediately, so it is writ upon this envelope that was mailed to this resort!

...Envelopes are for privacy, perhaps don't write your message on the outside. Also Louis and Marie are clearly united as one. There is one role per room, not per individual. Anywhichway, I do believe I've located fake gunner, and some justice will be delivered promptly... tomorrow.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

If you're so confident you've already done that, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to tell us how you reached this conclusion and which supposed gunner it is. It would surely save people from unnecessary investigations. If your analysis holds up.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-08-2022

Oh, it's Liz. Pretty clearly. Look at the defense, look at the cries for "concrete evidence", look at the "maybe louis and marie have different roles". These claims clearly have insufficient postage and are stalling tactics. The concrete evidence we have is that the anthropomorphic personification of life has told us that people only have one of any role that isn't the mason and that no one starts vanilla.

Combine Liz's deflections with the duplicate role claimed, and that raises questions of truth.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"Yeah, either Liz didn't read the literature and is just that naive, or she's sus and trying to stall and get somebody killed randomly. And with the duplicate roleclaim... yeah. Not looking good there."

Pippin now seems to be in a better mood again, he's jumped down from Felicia's arms and is wandering around and possibly getting underfoot.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

It's not a logical certainty, but when I gave her reading to do I was wondering if she really hadn't read the class assignment or was simply trying to deflect, yes.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-08-2022

I could get behind dat! She did try to make thingth more complicated than they really were, didn't she? At da leath, Maloth doeth theem to wanna get dith mythery outta da way! And theemth to be on da level! What do you all think? Do y'all think we can trutht Maloth?

Nico swallows. He said everything he knew, he kept everything as straight as he could, he did good, right?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"We should have this right; if Yoshiko is claiming to be an Odd-Night Bus Driver, that's out of line with the brochures, the fact there's no Watcher, and what I know of my own abilities.

You are absolutely sure she said Odd-Night Bus Driver and not Odd-Night Jailer, right? Sorry, I just want to be absolutely sure with all the switching of claims and everything. But if she did say odd-night bus driver, I know that for sure is a lie. Whether a lie from a cultist or a lie from a slasher or whatever."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

Samantha nods. She's underlined those passages in the brochure several times.
