RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

...I think someone found a glove in Nico's room. I'm not sure that helps, though, since he's confirmed innocent and I don't think the size narrowed it down.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Magolor - 09-08-2022

Shouldn't we plan this strategy more cohesively? We have conflicts, so what? And since you're naming the targets, everyone is able to tell who they are. The best course of action is questioning the monarchs, but is that all? Obviously, if only one person on the side of death is the causes for a duplicate, then the other person should be clear. But what if they're both evil? All these coincidences should be eliminated, if not thoroughly checked ASAP. I don't get all these mind games, but stopping anybody suspicious is more efficient than waiting for an opening.

He's seemingly in deep thought.

We should also discuss whether useful roles like... "Investigator" or "Doctor" are present.

Despite his confident words, he says all of this with a hesitant tone.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Weirdguy149 - 09-08-2022

Malos chuckled at himself being brought up then spoke in a rather flat and blunt tone of voice. "Well, alright. I think it's pretty obvious who the Dualgunner is then. This "Liz" person. I told you to back me up, didn't I, kid?" He looked over at Nico.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

Who's naming targets? I proposed that everybody should tell their proposed targets to Nico and he can help sort any conflicts out. ...As for both being killers out of the pairs. I'm not sure why they would do that, it would only draw suspicion onto at least one of them. Possibly it would help make people feel more confident about the other if one of them was found out, but that seems... not optimal. Plus, we have two pairs of duplicates and the killers also had a safeclaim to use. That theory seems... unlikely.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Magolor - 09-08-2022

In war, "possibly" is the line between life and death, success and failure. If I had the opportunity, I would just shoot anyone who attacks me. And this "Gunner" just might.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

If you have a way to make the distinction, be my guest and let us know. Or we should keep in mind that if we clear one of the pair the other is not off the hook for certain. Still, it doesn't seem likely.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Whistle - 09-08-2022

You ever think that maybe some of these people might be bluffin' themselves up? They got goddamn poker faces, makin' people think they got four of a kind when all they got's a junk hand. Maybe Malos isn't actually a gunner either, just pretending to be so this Cult thingamabob doesn't try to get 'em. And you kinda got a point there, Toadie. Now that someone's died—actually, two people—we're basically shootin' in the dark.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-08-2022

"Bus Driver?" Marie said with a confused look on her face.
"N-Nonono that's not the role we have!"

Marie then soon realized that Nico made a mistake.

"We told you that our actual role is the Night Jailer. I misremembered it as the Bus Driver role as both are roles based around swapping the fates of two people and can be only used on a certain-parity nights! Then Louis reminded me what our actual role is and we whispered in your ear again to tell you. Although I don't blame you on confusing our role, since you have a lot on your plate and as I said, the Jailer and Bus Driver roles are quite similar, or that you didn't hear our second whispers."

@PopcornPie

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-08-2022

There's no such thing as a Night Jailer.

There's Odd Night Jailers and Even Night Jailers, but there's no such thing as a Night Jailer. You'd have described it as a night bus driver, if you describe it as a night jailer.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Magolor - 09-08-2022

...they really aren't. It looks like there's no point asking you two normally, though. What about the other "Jailer"?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-08-2022

"Oh right! Well, we can only use our ability on Even Nights."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

What do I always tell people? Read the syllabus, read the syllabus. Does anybody every actually read the syllabus? No.

Samantha says this in a somewhat annoyed tone.

I've also heard about a million excuses that were clearly made up. I'm not convinced that Jailers and Busdrivers are all that similar, in any case.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"...wait, didn't Nico say you said you were Jailers first, then changed it to Bus Driver? And now you said you originally thought you were the Bus Driver but misremembered? What's the actual order here because this is very confusing."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-08-2022

"Sorry for forgetting some potientally crucial things and mixing up another, it's just... we have a lot of things going on..."
OOC: Please go easy on me. This damn thread has been stressing me out recently and that stress is the reason I took so long to post today even after I got home from school. It doesn't matter if I'm Scum or not, I just don't want to get too stressed out from what's ultimately a dumb RP /gen

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-08-2022

Yahuh.

No, this makes no sense whatsoever. You claim bus driver, then you claim jailer, but call it Night Jailer and not Night Bus Driver despite them both containing night and parities. You'd have to admit this is highly suspicious, then you change your claim despite the roles having nothing in common, nor similar names.

I've already voted for you, but I do think we have enough information to go off of. I'll deliver the plans to Wyoming as soon as we've verified your alignment by mailing in our ballots with you elected as our first execution.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-08-2022

"Nonono, we told Nico that we were mistakingly the Bus Driver first!  Then I corrected Marie and we told him again, this time with our correct role; Even-Night Jailer."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-08-2022

"It's very likely Nico got confused and messed it up. Have you ever considered that? So much for being a postal worker!"

OOC: @Florien did you not read what I said in the OOC section of my last couple posts? This thread is stressing me out to hell and back.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Whistle - 09-08-2022

Liz facepalms slightly. Look at these royals! They'd lose their heads if they weren't attached! Are you absolutely sure they did this?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-08-2022

"I'm getting confused again, but the conflicting stories about the order things were told isn't looking good..."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-08-2022

"I understand, they made a mistake. We are in a stressful situation after all."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

It really isn't.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-08-2022

Well, should we move ahead now? Neither rain nor... you know the rest of the saying. We've been delivered an extremely exposed team of foes, with prepaid postage, and it would be foolish to not take advantage of it. "I got confused" hardly accounts for somehow thinking the jailer swaps people.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Oggy123 - 09-08-2022

Yuuta seems slightly confused, while Suzume hides behind him.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-08-2022

...Looking good, that is. Nico, you're sure *you* had the order they told you correct?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-08-2022

"No, I remember a lot more clearly now. The royals said they were Night Jailers first, then Bus Drivers."
