RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-05-2022

"I may not be too familiar with your job, but I think they're supposed to act rather quickly, isn't it correct?"

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Whistle - 09-05-2022

Back in the Pony Express days, maybe, but not now.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-05-2022

Yeah, what they all thaid! Why are you keepin' uth in thuthpenth?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-06-2022

Because I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to get the enemy revealed given the information that at least three roles given will be a lie, assuming total internal consistency, and how best to explain that to Casper, WY 82601 so that the plan can be executed along with our pursuing dogs. I have not yet solved the optimal way to coordinate this.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Kennifer - 09-06-2022

"This all assuming we can trust in the postal worker's plan, since the only one we all know for sure isn't one of Death's followers is Nico, right?"

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-06-2022

This is true.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-06-2022

Right! We gotta keep our guard up! We know Nico ith on da level, but everyone elth though, we gotta watch each other clothely!, Tyson says while raising his fists as if he were blocking.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-06-2022

Could you think of a way my plan would be helpful specifically to the ones who are here to kill us were I to be one of them?

It doesn't involve me getting any information at all. I am not touching the information of who has what role. All that is being handled by Wyoming, and Wyoming is the only one who will mail that information to us.

My plan also proves detrimental to them because it requires them to roleclaim before they have all their safe claims found, so they're risking getting caught by duplication accidently.

No one against the USPS would ever try to implement this plan that's almost certain to immediately get one of the hostiles killed.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - wingedcatgirl - 09-06-2022

Well, plan it out however you like. Just bear in mind you have a limited time to choose who dies. And no opting out.

The deadline for voting is 8:00 PM CT on Friday, September 9th.

I don't like agreeing with them, but... the simple fact is, the more action you take, the more information you'll have to work with. Opting out means the cultists get to pick who dies every time.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-06-2022

It's hard to say since I don't know what the plan would be, although knowing exactly who the investigators are going after and importantly choosing who they are going after would be advantageous to the scum... As long as Nico keeps his head screwed on straight about who he can trust, it seems okay. It seems to me that perhaps who the investigators are going after should be negotiated between Nico and those investigators. If there are any apparent conflicts, or what other people wish to do conflict, he should sort the conflicts out anonymously. And ideally everyone should tell Nico what they intend to do. Conflicts can be avoided this way. If it fails to happen, either they were falsely roleclaiming or they were roleblocked in some way, which we should also be able to resolve. No?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Oggy123 - 09-06-2022

"Oh, so you're... dead? Oh my... At least we know you're innocent."

Yuuta then whispers something to Nico as well.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-06-2022

Samantha sighs. Does anyone have any objection to my plan?

Which is: Each person figure out what you're going to do with your power, if you've been given one. Tell Nico as soon as possible, as well as if you change your mind. That's a very important part of this. If there's any conflicts, Nico, help sort it out, but don't tell anyone who is doing what or who can do what unless there's something fishy.

As for the current circumstances. ...Well, nothing suspicious in the roleclaims, Nico?

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Weirdguy149 - 09-06-2022

Malos had been standing in the background with his arms crossed. "Well, I suppose I have to tell him then, huh?" Eventually, he went over to Nico and whispered in his ear.

(Apologies, I have been very distracted.)

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-06-2022

Nico looked at Samantha, nervously twiddling his fingers. He wasn't supposed to give any information in front of potential Death-children, but it seemed like nothing would go anywhere if he kept his lips completely buttoned. "Can I tell you privately?"

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PointMaid - 09-07-2022

I'm all ears, to use the expression, yes. You can tell me privately. Remember to be careful about who you trust.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-07-2022

"Right." Nico looked around the room, trying to decipher who among them was least likely to be lying about their role.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-07-2022

Right. If there's duplicates, announce them now. That will secure the survival of the non-murderous duplicates, because to kill them would reveal the killer, as sure as I am the best deliverer of mail that there is.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-07-2022

"Well...I won't name any names, but I have two sets of duplicates here." He's walking on eggshells here.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-07-2022

Name them. The good duplicate will be safe because if they die during the night, we kill the other half knowing who the true killer of the pair is, and you can coordinate investigation of the duplicates with the investigator types you know. Vengeance shall be delivered, First Class Expedited.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-07-2022

You don't even have to reveal what role they claimed, simply that they exist as duplicates as one another.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - wingedcatgirl - 09-07-2022

Death is munching on a box of popcorn. How exactly it's doing that when it has no mouth is unclear, but it is.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - PopcornPie - 09-07-2022

Nico's expression switched to one of annoyance. "Now, fifteen seconds ago you said I had to be careful who I trusted with this stuff! How do I know you're not an evil-doer? You were awful quick to make me reveal myself!"

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Florien - 09-07-2022

Literally, this information is useless to me if I'm out to kill people. If I'm out to kill people, I'm asking you to reveal two of my teammates for the gain of two people's roles and zero guaranteed kills on theoretical Gone Postal Overlynd's part. Your idea that that the information you'd be making public with this could possibly undermine the not-murderous team has insufficient postage.

In fact, in the scenario where both you're telling the truth and I'm scum, I ALREADY know the two duplicate roles by the fact that you said there are duplicates and presumably one of us used our safe-claim.

Also if anyone claimed vanilla they're lying, because that would have required someone to use an ability which we know they couldn't have, so you can take that to the US Post Office's Nationalized Bank.

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - Oggy123 - 09-07-2022

"Uh oh."

RE: Murder in the Mountains 2: WHAT. (Day 1) - TheOtherCG - 09-07-2022

"W-Who are the duplicates?" Louis asked.
