"Model... cannot eat. Model does not have a mouth."

"Just... keep it for yourself, please."

Mettaton rolls out of the bar and notices Model 2-E.

HELLO BEAUTY! THE NAME'S METTATON. HOW ARE YOU DOING?
#57
You know what? I'm going to check out that radio tower. Even if it's not broadcasting now... maybe there's someone there I could give a sample to? Or I could leave a copy of my new single on a desk or somethin'.

I'm sure you won't, pot belly. Now if you excuse me, we might as well explore this place.

> Also check out radio tower
I like bananas. They're yellow.
#61
Holly decides she might as well explore too, but she's a bit more interested in...

>Checking out the ruins of the old complex.
Stupid doomed timeline...
#62
Mettaton decides to explore the place some himself and he starts at...

>Check out lighthouse
#63
Monaca also decides to...

>Check out the lighthouse
I don't understand any of this... I'm in a world of complete insanity...
#64
Mark finishes off his drink, mixes another one, and then heads off coconut in hand to check out the cabanas.

The group splits up to explore. This is the information found at each of those locations.

The Radio Tower:

The radio tower is situated somewhat precariously atop a concrete block building. The structure looks several years older than the cabanas. There's some bullet-induced cracking and divots in various places around the concrete base, and in a few spots, dark stains. The radio tower itself, a huge white and red structure, has clearly seen better days. There's some weathering, and the paint is visibly chipping off. There's a door into the concrete block building below it. Presumably that's how you get up to the tower itself. Investigating the inside, there's a small entryway, a storeroom with various radio equipment, all covered in a layer of dust, and a large control room, presumably for the tower itself, featuring recording storage, broadcast rooms, and various microphones, along with the power settings. The tower is off, as far as you can tell. In the storeroom, there's also a narrow metal staircase, leading up to the roof of the concrete block. From there, you can climb the radio tower. From the top, you can see almost the whole island, aside from the northernmost section, blocked by the dish, and the building listed on the brochure as "the old complex", which is blocked by the mountain in the middle of the island.

The Lighthouse:

The lighthouse is at the end of a long jetty, with no railings. The ocean below looks unforgiving, and strange shapes move in the water. The lighthouse itself appears to be the oldest structure on the island. Inside, the paint on the walls is peeling. The entryway is unremarkable. There's also a bunkhouse with a few empty bedframes, and a storeroom filled with crates, along with some spools of wire, and several individually wrapped giant lightbulbs. The stairs lead up through the building to the light itself, and the walkway around it. The window through which the lighthouse light shines is broken, shattered glass covers the floor. You have a clear view of the island, including the old complex, but you can't see anything north of the radio tower. Further, it's extremely windy up there. The light is currently off, but looks like it could be turned on.

The Old Complex:

The old complex is quite a walk from the rest of the buildings, and is not visible from most of them, for that matter. It's a large, concrete, bunker-like building, with two floors. One corner of it has caved in, and there's scorch marks around the area. It looks like it's partially in a blast crater. Nearby, there's a forest with some hanging skeletons in cages. On each of the cages, a sign hangs, with a name and a crime. Most of the crimes are "Treason" and "Sedition". (Presumably that's the forest of bones the one named "Keyes" mentioned.) The Old Complex itself is accessible, but the rooms inside are cluttered with debris. The first floor has some cubicles, but their walls have largely been destroyed. They won't impede progress, but they could provide shelter. There's a door labeled "storeroom", but when opened, it's pretty clearly buried in debris. Up a staircase, the second floor has some kind of war room. Most of the second floor is collapsed though. The roof seems to have caved in. The remaining windows are small, and you can't see much of the island from them, though the lighthouse is visible from one side of the complex.

The Cabanas:

They're about as unremarkable as the brochure map indicates. All of them have a sitting room, a bathroom, a closet, and two beds. The only interesting thing about them is that each of them is named after some kind of sea life. Counterclockwise from bottom center, they are "Sea Star" "Bigger Sea Star" "Really Big Sea Star" "Smaller than Bigger Sea Star But Bigger than Sea Star Sea Star" "Small Sea Star" "Two Sea Stars" and "Fish".
I am the They who says it!

Huh. There really is nobody here. Wonder if I can tune in something with this antenna. Gotta have those tunes. Or... broadcast my música myself!

> Try to turn on the radio equipment

You do that. I'm gonna climb up to tower and see what it's like.

Gary heads through the storeroom and makes his way to the roof, where he manages to climb to the top of tower, while holding himself steady.

Wow. Except for this damn dish... this is quite the view.
I like bananas. They're yellow.

Mettaton is displeased at his sights.

I WAS EXPECTING MORE GLAMOUR! INSTEAD, THIS IS JUST A REGULAR OLD LIGHTHOUSE. BOO HOO.

He then decides to >explore the northern reaches of the island.
#69
"...What?" Shin was slightly taken aback by the comment.  ...Anyway, yes, better get a good overview of the place..."

>Check out old comple ruins

Wonder just what happened here...Shin thinks to himself as he looks through the complex. Didn't look like this had been used for a good while... after something had gone down.

It is at this point that a tall anthropomorphic wolf-like creature stumbles out of the door to the bar. Her bleary expression and the bottle she's clutching in one hand both suggest her immediate reaction to being trapped in a death game was to down huge quantities of booze. She glances around, taking in the island... and the people on it.

So these are her fellow competitors. Great. She's not even hungover yet and Loona can already feel a headache coming on.
#74
Holly sees Shin also exploring the complex, and kind of half-waves.
Stupid doomed timeline...

Cabanas
Mark nods approvingly and claims a bunk in "Really Big Sea Star" for himself.

He then spots the ostentatiously mysterious building and decides he wants to know what that's about, so he starts by looking at the radio tower and the lighthouse to see which one is taller.
