Lukanios and Fentirss respectively

Names: Fentiriss Haltevazhen and Lukanios DuVansweylend Or just Fentiriss and Lukanios

Age: Difficult to meaningfully say, due to reasons that will be got into, but physically both are in their mid-twenties, but together, they've experienced a little under a million years of time.

Gender: She/Her and He/Him respectively, as a unit They/Them.

Backstory: Lukanios hatched into poverty in a major city in a far northern territory. Shortly after his twentieth birthday, through a massive amount of luck and being very slightly better at running than his now dead friends, managed to gain an artifact that allows him to travel back to the most recently made snapshot in time while keeping memories of the future that could have been. Fentiriss, meanwhile, hatched affluent in a southern country, but ending up an orphan after a fire, quickly squandered most of her family fortune on building an unsuccessful mercenary company, notorious for being capable of winning pretty much any fight because of how heavily equipped they were, but being so expensive to maintain that the mercenaries would just desert and sell their equipment. They would meet a few weeks after Lukanios uncovered that relic (though for Lukanios it had already been several years). Fentiriss managed to bind the relic to herself as well as Lukanios, and while for the first few century-days they didn't really like each other, they eventually developed a grudging respect that culminated in them promising to take over the entire world in record time by repeatedly throwing themselves at the problem until they managed to win.

Eventually, they were so far removed from everyone else that they fell for one another into a slightly unhealthy relationship. They did conquer the world, of course, managing to secure every country's complete surrender in apparently less than a year. (In reality that had taken many hundreds of thousands of attempts.) They see their world more as their toy than anything, having already subjugated everything "because what else do you do when you literally have time on your side" and being completely disconnected from the lives of others. Ironically, they've actually grown more attached to others not-like-them by not seeing them as people, treating them like beloved playthings. Nonetheless, this has not done wonders for their two hatchlings. Then, a few millene-years into their reign, they decided to check out "this cool hole in reality" and got involved in their first iteration of this game. They lost. But because they'd saved back home, they just stepped right back through to try again and again and again and again. They do admit that there were a few times they won, but they're not stopping, if just because it's a fun diversion for a few weeks each time and they want their favorites to walk out alive. After all, they have more than all the time in the world.

Their special abilities are limited to their ability to effectively "save scum" reality, everything else they can do is pretty mundane, but they're not actually capable of saving out here, their most recent snapshot being back home and having made sure to leave the relic there every iteration since so that there's no risk of getting trapped. They've been treating this like a game for the last several dozen times they've played this, and spent the way up here annoying the people on the hiking trip by wildly guessing which ones are going to die in this run and which ones are going to turn out to be WITCH SERVANTS and wondering why no one's questioning two six-and-a-half-foot-tall lizardpeople in heavy armor walking around in this "weird futuristic world with mostly humans".

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Pros:
+ They remember the kinds of challenges they'll be facing, and thus how to do well at them.
+ They're extremely skilled fighters, whether at range or in melee.
+ They've both done a lot of manual labor in their lives, and are good at those sorts of things.
+ Both have extremely fast reaction times due to experience, and a high tolerance to pain.

Cons:
- They rarely take things super seriously, regularly doing self-imposed challenges and making things harder than they need to be.
- They're extremely conspicuous and loud at pretty much all times.
- They have a tendency to decide something is "good enough", just because they're bored, and move on whether or not that thing is remotely good enough.

Otherbutlet'sberealthisisfortextcolor:
Right, Fenni, this time, I'm going to guess the entire team of killers day one and stick to those guns no matter what.
Okay Lu, but if we're the killers this time, I'm going to drop clues to our identity deliberately AND get away with it.
What if we do both no matter what team we're on?
Sounds like fun! Hey hey witch who we're totally still surprised by what's our role for this definitely the first time that we're meeting and not uhh...
which time is it?
I lost count a while ago. Let's say sixty-third. This is not the sixty-third time, it is the first. Shit, should we start over and try again? I don't think she's buying this is the first time.
Eh... nah. I don't want to deal with the whole walk here and the portal thing twice in a row again.
I am the They who says it!
