Story:
Welcome to chaos. "Chaos, chaos!"

Rules:

1. Listen to us when we say things.
   
2. This is a mafia-type game. In the day, everyone picks someone to eliminate. At night, the scumteam picks someone to kill, and anyone with night actions chooses what to do with that. You get your win conditions in your role PMs.
   
3. No godmoding, puppeteering, etc. Your character is your character, other players' characters are their characters, the NPCs are NPCs.
   
4. No editing posts. If you made a formatting mistake, holler a mod. If you made a wording mistake, double-post.
   
5. Please no turbolurking. Try to post at least once per day. Ideally more. If you need to drop out, drop out, we'll find a replacement.
   
6. This is a murdergame. You might die, you might roll scum. Please don't enter as a character you're not okay with those things happening to.
   
7. This game is definitely not balanced. We tried to at least discourage massclaims.
   
8. Speaking of not massclaiming, private game-related communication with other players is not allowed outside of designated channels. If you're not in a masonry, a neighborhood, a scumchat, or a deadchat, there will be no DMing here or on Discord. You can still freely use the Murderverse OOC thread and the Discord channel, of course. (And obviously you'll be able to do whatever you want once the game ends.)

NAME: Autumn Leeds

A 23-year-old anthropomorphic fox, with tattered and faded jeans, torn purple sweater, and robotic arm.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Cis female, she/her
BACKSTORY/PERSONALITY: A stress ball that's been squeezed a bit too hard. Artist by trade, despite having lost her drawing hand about five years ago. Can adapt quickly to many situations, though at some point there's diminishing returns. Not the most trusting, but she's been learning to come out of her shell; however, the recent disappearance of her girlfriend Liz has put a bit of a damper on that. Hates being touched, especially gently and/or from behind.
DISTINGUISHING ABILITIES: Arm is detachable and magnetic at the attachment point. Keen sense of smell. High tolerance for pain.
OTHER: Speaks in orange. M—may stutter occasionally.

Name: Kirby and Ribbon
Appearance:

Backstory and Personality: Kirby is a cute pink puffball-like creature living on Planet Popstar. Ribbon is a fairy hailing from the heart-shaped Ripple Star. When Ripple Star is threatened by Dark Matter, Kirby fights them off and saved Ripple Star, and in the process, befriended Ribbon. Kirby is kindhearted, optimistic, and plucky, but can be a little naive. Ribbon is kindhearted but timid.
Distinguishing Abilities: Kirby can puff up and float, and he can inhale things and gain their abilities. Ribbon can fly and use her crystal gun to shoot enemies.
Other: Kirby speaks in pink, Ribbon in red.

Name: Lithium
Appearance: (Also see the Picrew below). About average height and slender with very long (about knee length, lol) turquoise hair.
Gender/Pronouns: Female, She/Her
Backstory and Personality: Prone to mood swings. She will get angry if you get her hair wet (seriously, look at it, do you know how long that takes to dry?). Fond of cosplaying as Hatsune Miku. Usually easy enough to get along with provided she's in a decent mood. Oh, and she was

Distinguishing Abilities: Anything she has with batteries in it is always fully charged, provided they're lithium-ion batteries. (And don't worry, she doesn't combust/explode in water, she just gets angry lol)

Name: Leonie Langdale
Appearance: Short and pale-skinned with blue eyes and short-to-medium length darkish pink hair. Quite broad for someone of average weight (for their height).
She wears a white sun hat with a pink fabric rose, a white scarf, a wrap dress with white and pastel pink vertical stripes, white socks and copper-brown shoes.
Gender/Pronouns: Feminine non-binary, she/they
Backstory and Personality: She has a strong sense of justice, but can be mercurial, reserved and terse. Even so, she does her best to avoid being overly rude. She has a nerdy soft side. She's often content with what she has, can be lazy and is usually happy to leave the responsibilities of leadership to others.
She's interested in online roleplaying (especially in medieval settings). Lions are her favourite animal.
She didn't grow up with many friends.
Distinguishing Abilities: She can blend in easily with her surroundings, making her difficult to notice if she doesn't want you to. She also rarely gets lost, is strong for someone of her size and build and has an odd, but powerful force of character that conceals otherwise lacking leadership ability.

Backstory/Personality: Once a rising star idol in the heart of Japan, but also part of a family of devout fundamentalist Christians, the constant stress and pressure slowly but surely caused her untimely demise... Not long after, a demon possessed her body, giving her demonic abilities, while also bonding their souls together. Now on a quest for redemption and salvation, Kizuna moonlights as a demonic magical girl!
Distinguishing Abilities: Demonic Magic, mainly, as well as a weapon that's a mix of a magic staff, a pitchfork, and a spear.
Other: Even in death, hope never dies!

Name: Jack Kilborn

Appearance: Will have image below. Has short red hair, green eyes, a shit-eating grin with a thin mustache and dresses in a gold jacket with black tie, black pants and shoes. Of average height and normal weight.

Gender/Pronouns: Male, he

Backstory and Personality: On-screen television personality, took part of several hosting jobs. One of the best known ones is hosting seasons of the Hunger Games. He even took part in a season and won second place. He's egotistical; someone who thinks his shit doesn't stink. He's good at his job. He knows it and will often rub it in your face how great he thinks he is. On top of this, he is also something of a sadist; i.e. loves watching people get hurt as it always makes for great television. He's also quite conniving; doing what he can to get ahead in the business. He intends to reinforce his position as TV's top dog.

Distinguishing Abilities: Carries a golden microphone with him. Only a gold one for the best TV personality such as himself. He'll even act out as if he's on the TV sometimes by reporting on what's happening in front of him while speaking into the microphone.

Other: You and I are about to be a part of something great! Something that will mesmerize the viewers on their computer or mobile screens for ages to come. Name: Candy Watermelon

Gender/Pronouns: female (she/her)
Backstory and Personality: A broadcaster born in the Capitol District of Panem, she's a go-getter, young, loves to dress in an eye-catchingly fashionable manner, and inured to ritual combat as entertainment - if usually as a broadcaster, but she also took part in a Hunger Games. Also has a bit of a sadistic streak and not afraid to give as good as she gets, she's determined not to be thought of as lesser or just a pretty face just because she's a young woman. She had some of the best education the Capitol offers!
Distinguishing Abilities: Can opine calmly and think quickly about nearly any situation, even under fire. Pretty good in a fight. Resourceful.
Other: My own OC created to co-host a season of TVT Hunger Games Simulation with Lee's character Jack Kilborn. Will speak in this color of pink.

Name: Avrilvanhazorhirhmanetzhonak "The Firebug" Zhylosorudahl-Kastahr ("Avril Depths-Caster" for short)

Appearance: It's just a straight up green-scaled dragon, with some things that look suspiciously like burn scars on its legs and wings. It's approximately 30 feet long counting its tail and nine feet at the shoulder. It has an impressive wingspan, but by all conventional physics should not be able to fly. (It can fly through whatever processes dragons normally use. Probably innate magic.) It always smells faintly of some kind of accelerant, though what kind seems to change.

Gender/Pronouns: Avril uses it/its, and tends to consider its gender entirely tangential to any subject. It may call itself agender if pressed, but it's not really interested in deciding on a particular name for how it is, and doesn't feel like it lacks gender.

Backstory: Avril briefly worked at the family vault and bank, (a location continuously raided by adventurers and one of two reasons that dragons are stereotyped as being rich when in actuality most dragons have no horde to their name), but got kicked out of the family after several suspicious fires all happened to occur near it. It wandered the world, briefly working with the teamster collective's air transport division, but getting dismissed after more suspicious fires started happening around it. It gained a wide reputation as a serial arsonist, though no one ever successfully connected the fires back to Avril. All evidence is circumstantial, and it firmly denies that it had anything to do with any of the fires.

Distinguishing Abilities: Avril can roll its "r"s, do a backflip, do four digit multiplication in its head, and balance a checkbook, though not all at the same time. Also it's a dragon and can fly and is big, yet somehow can fit into any room that it wants to go into. It apparently can't actually breathe fire beyond a few sparks though, ironically enough for a suspected serial arsonist.

Name: Valania Pecozotti

Appearance: See image below. Valania is a Glaine (Homo sapiens aries), a species of

humanoids that have sheep attributessheep people. they're sheeple.

native to the planet of Sierra, which itself is located in another dimension connected to Earth via ley lines. She's 6'1", with flexible pointy ears, woolly hair, and a sheep tail. In addition, her scarf is magical and can change color, size, and texture at command.

Gender/Pronouns: Female (she/her)

Backstory: Sold off to a barely legal orphanage by her parents, Valania was virtually forced to raise herself since the orphanage's caretaker only provided the bare necessities. Teaching herself advanced wind magic, Valania took part in various gliding sports such as air parkour and cross country flying in hopes of making some money. Eventually, her country's major professional cross-country flying league took notice of Valania's skills and recruited her with a hefty contract, and she quickly became one the hottest rising stars in the league.

Personality: Valania is very friendly, if somewhat dense, for the most part. She loves making new friends and won't hesitate to help others, even if it comes at the cost of stressing her out. This stems from her abandonment issues, which led to all sorts of nasty mental issues. She feels like she needs to constantly act wholesome since many people look up to her. She's afraid that she'll slip up and become abandoned once more, and as such she struggles with making long-term friends.

Distinguishing Abilities: Valania is a skilled wind mage. Her scarf is actually a specialized glider known as a parafleece, which makes her look suspiciously like Cape Mario of Super Mario World fame when she's using it. By combining her wind magic with her parafleece, Valania can for all intents and purposes, fly.

Other: "A murdergame? Well, I'll never give in to the demands of the killers, right? Stay calm, Valania. Stay calm."

Gender: Female
Backstory and Personality: A flirty bat thief who's also a spy that is searching for gemstones and loves gems.
Distinguishing Abilities: Can locate any gems, fly, and for her equipment, has a Heart Bomb, which can blow up walls, glass, and ice.
Other: Speaks in Dark Pink.

Backstory and Personality: She's a glitchy being who's kinda just vibing, she enjoys playing pranks and messing with people but rarely means anything malicious

Backstory and Personality: "so- here's the thing, i can't remember much. that's the first thing you should know about me- i don't really have a good memory, so i keep a little notebook around to note down things that matter to me. i like to think i'm friendly- i hope i don't have any trouble getting along with the people here. Elise and the others say i'm a bit childish so there's that too."

Distinguishing Abilities: "well, i can make *barriers*. they're... a 2d-ish plane thingathing that i can mess with. i can stretch them, i can make little boxes by making 6 barriers, i can slice things by making them have fine, sharp ends then attach that sharp barrier to something with a notch and we have a sword!... well, it's kinda like being able to summon one (1) side of a cardboard box at your will! there's so many things you can do with them it's wild"

Other: khom has a /srs mode where his eyes go from I I to <O> <O>, and his speech transitions to Proper Capitalization. he will probably go through this mode during this game. skill issue lmao. looks like this. whether you interpret this eye change as literal or an artstyle shift is up to you.

- speaking of skill issue he can't breathe fire. he just looks like this if he tries breathing anything

- calling him by anything other than a dragon tends to get to his nerves
- his notebook's notes have various cards that detail a specific thing that Khom really wants to remember.
- he's actually fireproofed by a little through a small amulet thingie he carries on his person called the Cool Amulet. i never draw it so it's probably in his pockets.
