In the city of Singleton, you find yourselves in the district of Los Capucha. The part of town most people try to avoid because of how dangerous it is. For good reason, too. As Los Capucha is rife with gangsters, drug dealers, shootings, stabbings, grand theft auto, what have you. And is also in the midst of a heated gang war. A war between the Cappers and the Yarddogs. The former is getting very close to winning the war between the latter. The leader of the Cappers, a mysterious figure named Bubba Gold Tooth Sparxxx, is ambitious and dangerous. He is excited over running Los Capucha for good. But the leader of the Yarddogs, Jebidiah Kane, has one more trick up his sleeve to win the war for good. Instead of taking it to the Cappers, he's taking it inside the Cappers.

And this is where you all come in. All of you are members of the Cappers, assisting in winning the war for the district for good. Except for one problem: a few of you were sent by Kane himself to kill off the rest of the Cappers, to turn the tide in his favor. And the ones sent by Kane are blending in with you. Who you think is your fellow gang pal might actually be the enemy all this time with the goal to kill you all. And in this case, your wits and street smarts may be the only thing to keep you alive as you try to identify Kane's people and kill them off for good.

Will Sparxxx get the district all to his own self or will Kane reign supreme in the end? Find out in Close Circle 2.

Gameplay
Close Circle 2 is a mafia-style game, with 12 town players facing off against 3 scum players. The goal is for all the town to vote off the scum, while the scum tries to kill off the town. The town wins if all the scum get voted off, while the scum win if town members are equal or lesser than surviving scum. Initially, all alignments will have no special abilities to start off with, but will be able to gain some, buying them using money earned from completing challenges, to be described later.

Every day, there will be an investigation to figure out who killed the latest victim. The investigation will incorporate RNG rolls going from 1-10. And evidence can be destroyed if one gets enough bad rolls. If the players think they have enough evidence, they can vote off whoever they think is guilty of murder. And for added incentive, the money of the victim will be put to stake. If the innocents successfully vote off the killer, the money will be split between the surviving town. However, if an innocent gets voted off, then the money will go to the scum.

And after this, there will be the daily challenges, where players will be given a series of tasks to complete and for a chance to earn money. Each day, players will be given five challenges to choose from. Only one challenge can be done every day and each challenge can only be played once by each player. The success of the challenges will be determined by RNG as well as modifiers determined by the strengths and weaknesses of each player. The one with the highest scores wins the biggest cash prize. In addition, the winner of the challenge will get to stay in Sparkxxx's den for the night, where they will receiver immunity from being murdered for the night.

And for a little mini-game, there's also Flapjack's "Lucky" Card Game. Where players can take their money and attempt to gamble their cash for a chance to win money. It too will be determined by RNG, with the lowest rolls resulting in losing the money, median rolls, gaining a small profit and large rolls gaining a large profit. It could be a good way to earn quick cash to buy some abilities, if you don't lose it all that is. And note, it can only be played once by each player per day.



Abilities
Both town and scum members will have their own abilities to buy during night phase using cash players earned completing missions. After buying the abilities, players can choose to use the abilities or save them for another night. At the beginning of each night, players will get a PM stating how much money they have or any abilities they still have and can choose to do whatever. And note, just to keep things balanced, only one ability can be used at once. For example, if three players choose the Watcher ability, one will be picked randomly so their ability will take effect. However, the ones who don't get chosen will still keep their ability to be saved for another time, unless they get role-blocked, on which it will be gone forever. Players cannot pool their money together to buy an ability; what they've earn is theirs to spend and theirs to spend only. Both town and scum will have their own abilities to be used as well as the prices as follows:

TOWN

Driver: (Costs $500) Are you confident that you can get a jump on someone and swap them out for someone else in hopes you can kill off a scum? Use the driver ability to swap any two players of your choice and whatever actions are taken on one will happen to the other and vice versa.

Watcher: (Costs $700) Any areas you think may be a hot spot for scum to come into? Then take charge and watch a room or a certain area of the map for the night. Whatever happens in there, you will see. Players who activate the ability will be able to watch one room for the night and whatever happens in the room, they will know. Cannot be used on consecutive days.

Protection: (Costs $800) Do you know someone whom you fear for their lives? They could use a little protection, just in case someone tried to off them, right? Put this into play to save them from any cops. Players can choose anyone of their choosing, which will save anyone that gets targeted by a Scum. Will not protect from Cleaner kills.

Background Check: (Costs $1000) Do you want to see if someone is on the level or do you suspect they might be one of the cops? Run a background check on the person and see how they're on your side. Players who run this ability picks a player of their choice and will find out if they're one of the Townies or a Scum.

Contract Killer: (Costs $1300) Does your gut instinct tell you that someone suspicious may be a Scum, but they're still at large trying to off your guys. Then hire a contract killer to off that someone suspicious. Players who use this can target someone they think is a Scum. If they are a Scum, they will get killed and you will live. But if they are a Townie, they will live and you will die instead.

SCUM

The Blocker: (Costs $500) If you don't want to kill someone just yet, but rather you want to prevent someone from using their ability, this is the one for you to stop them dead in their tracks. Players can use this ability to block one from whatever ability they're using, if they're using it. And if they are, then they will waste the ability.

Cover-Up: (Costs $700) Someone onto you? Fearing that they might check you out and reveal your true allegiances? Then take use of the cover-up. If one runs a background check on your while you're covered-up, they will see you as "innocent" and you can still continue your reign of terror without further incident. Hopefully.

Investigator: (Costs $900) Do you want to see who has certain abilities and see if a player is dangerous or not? Use the Investigator ability and see what the player has in stock and discuss it among yourselves if the Town member needs killing. Players who use this can find out what abilities and money a town member has, as well as whether or not they have special protections and what actions they are taken.

Cleaner: (Costs $1300) Do you think someone may be too dangerous to live, or maybe you just want a free kill? Hire the cleaner, and whoever you choose will disappear without a trace, no questions asked. Players who activate this ability can choose anyone to kill, no body, no evidence found. It cannot be used in consecutive days. It is the factional kill for the scum, so no other kills can be done if Cleaner is activated.



Rules
  1. No god-modding allowed. Your character is the only character you can control. No one else can change other characters or settings without the permission of the hosts and/or players (if it involves one of the players).
  2. No turbo-lurking allowed. It is expected that anyone who signs up to play this game to participate regularly as much as they can and not give out any meaningless posts just to skirt by. If two game days pass by without any significant posts from a player, their character will be killed off. If you can no longer participate, let the hosts know and a replacement will be sought.
  3. (For the scum) If you become a scum, it is expected that you kill someone everyday as it is your role in-game. One person has to be killed every night, so don't stall. Failure to kill someone when the night phase is up will result in one random player being killed off. It could be a town or a scum, so get killing. It will be in the best interest of everyone.
  4. While jerkassery is all right IC, it is stated however that you don't be a jerk to your players OOC. Be respectful and cool with your players. And while jerkassery and the occasional off-color comment is acceptable, no NSFW, inappropriate or otherwise disruptive actions (i.e. Bill's Brother or Elizabeth Afton) will be tolerated in-game.
  5. Remain in-character in thread.
  6. If you're dead, you can no longer post in the thread. You are still however free to spectate. However, do not give away the killers or any clues outside the thread. Otherwise, you will be permanently banned from the game.
  7. And above all else, have fun with your characters and the game.

* Background: Mostly ordinary 17 y/o girl. Lives with her divorced dad who's in the Navy. Latchkey kid, self-reliant. Runs her school's girl's baseball league... also a former member of the Crows from Life's a Beach that broke from them before that gang war.


* Personality: Headstrong, thinks she can handle things. Also still wants her dad.


* Abilities: Good with a baseball bat. Also pretty good with tech and coding, as you might imagine from a 17 year old who was affiliated with a technophile gang. Good planning and leadership (or at least that's what she says).


* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Confident and not afraid to speak out. ...Maybe a little too much for her own good, though, sometimes.


* Other: Has a Napoleon complex. Speaks in dark red text.

* Name: Mila (no last name is available for her, how strange)


* Age: Around 25-26 or so.


* Background: She ran away right after (barely squeaking through) high school (so around 17-18 years of age) and taught herself all sorts of things. How to shoot, how to fight, how to... get in trouble. (Well, she got in trouble a lot at school too.) And yeah, she learned this stuff mostly the hard way. She's at least usually had a roof over her head one way or the other, usually doing odd jobs and staying in a cheap motel room or something, though she hasn't been above stealing or other unsavory things if she's desperate enough.


* Personality: She's street-smart, badass, kind of foul-mouthed (though she'll tone it down around kids. Tends not to trust others since she's been relying on herself for years.


* Abilities: She's great with a gun, not too bad with a knife either. Knows how to survive off the streets if she needs to.


* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Her biggest strengths are her street-smarts and her marksmanship skills. Weakness is she's distrustful, sometimes to the point of paranoia. She's also not great with the book-smarts since she spent most of school in trouble and was lucky she didn't get expelled.

* Appearance: About 5'8" and 135-ish pounds of lean muscle. She has green eyes and bright chartreuse hair.

* Background: A Vietnam vet who has been a prisoner of war, a police department's nightmare, a rescuer of prisoners of war, an anti-communist warrior, a missionary protector, and a ranch hand. Now he plans on taking out one last score.


* Personality: Very morose and somber, doesn't talk much except for when he feels passionate about something.


* Abilities: Can use multiple types of weapons and fighting styles, both sneaky and explosive.


* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Strengths- Is intimidating as fuck and good at making traps given enough time. Weaknesses- Is terrible at staying incognito and is bad at improvising if things don't go his way.


* Other: I might write his dialogue with a bit of a slur in his speech like typical Stallone, but I don't know if that will work.

* Background: (deltarune chap2 spoilers) He used to be an unsuccessful seller until he got help from a mysterious someone, after which he instantly gained success and became a "big shot" like he had dreamed about (even if he got abandoned by his jealous friends)... but one day the advice stopped. His sales went down, he was kicked out of his room in Queen's mansion, and he was reduced to living a dumpster, wishing for freedom and to get [BIG] once again... ...so yeah, he's been through some shit.
* Personality: A weird and unhinged salesman who's often trying to scam others make deals and sell people stuff.
* Abilities: Sending out tiny versions of himself, sending out strings of letters (words like $VALUES$" and "$$DEALS$"), inhaling money
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Strengths: Determined, sneaky, his weird attacks would likely confuse those unfamiliar with them. Weaknesses: Would likely not seem too trustworthy, smol and puntable.

Name: Lindsey Clipton

Age: 38

Background: In the time before they died in a shootout in Tripford, Lindsey worked primarily as a travelling assassin for the Spymaster (and whoever else could pay them, so usually other people.) Born somewhere in Oregon, and ex-military, (dishonorably discharged after breaking a commanding officer's arm after an incident which they've never elaborated on), they've had a rewarding career so far, having been involved in a few prior assassinations through various methods of mid-to-high-ranked criminals and some minor city and press officials, and have amassed a respectable kill count as a result. Collateral damage is usually low, and they've so far evaded capture (though came close one time when their sniper perch was set on fire, giving them some burn scars on their face.) A resume with a dearth of legal activity on it, however, has meant that even if they wanted to go into legitimate work, they wouldn't be able to. Nonetheless, Lindsey in the Pre-Tripford state may possibly be even more threatening than during their month-long run as a pseudo-serial-killer, because they're allowed to use the full range of their skills.

Personality: Lindsey has a thin veneer of annoyance at most times that they use to get people to avoid asking too many questions. If one knows them well enough for them to drop the annoyed act, they're actually a pretty good conversationalist and reasonably nice. They have a blasé attitude about killing, built up over the years, but otherwise, aren't particularly far from normal.

Abilities: Lindsey is experienced with all sorts of firearms and briefly worked as an explosives expert in the past. They're also extremely strong for their size.

Strengths: Lindsey is extremely intelligent and excellent at getting people to do what they want, as well as more than capable of hiding in plain sight. However, they're overly aggressive, and tend to choose sudden violence if a situation goes wrong rather than attempt to diffuse it. This tendency to resort to violence second rather than committing to violence or avoiding it often replaces their problem with an entirely different problem rather than solving it.

Other: Speaks in yellowish impact font.

* Age: Early 20s
* Background: The son of a bowling ball and a pineapple, Tom, for most of his life, lived within the UK. He and his two closest friends, Edd and Matt, took a trip to the United States to relax. Whilst his friends explored the town themselves, he stayed behind, and within a few days, because of rule of funny, got into a gang, became a big underground name, and fought in a gang war.  He's also been possessed by a demon, which transforms him into a giant monster when he gets especially angry.
* Personality: Cold, cynical, pessimistic, and sarcastic. He does have his moments of showing heart, but those can be few and far between.
* Abilities: He's great with combat, especially using guns and harpoons. He is also smart, and uses his common sense wisely.
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Strnegths include, like mentioned before, Intelligence and Weapon Proficiency. On the other hand, he is not Charismatic at all, considering his personality traits. He is also very hard to get along with if you get on his bad side.

* Age: ???


* Background: (Deltarune Chapter 2 spoilers) When Spamton's friends started to abandon him out of jealousy, one was captivated by the spambot's increasingly deranged talk and became a frantic follower of him. At some point, this Addison somehow ended up in a vastly different world than the data fields and cityscapes of the Cyber World: our world. They decided to take the form of Steve from Blue's Clues, and the rest is history.


* Personality: A megalomaniac obsessed with becoming a [[BIG SHOT]], Steve speaks and acts like a second rate Spamton impersonator. He sees Spamton as a messiah chosen by the Angel, and strives to emulate his lifestyle as much possible in hopes of reaching "Heaven".


* Abilities: Steve can freely shapeshift between his human disguise and his true form. He's also really good with computers since he's a living adware program.


* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Steve is proficient in street-smarts and is rather thrifty. However, his myopic worldview makes him dismissive towards anyone who isn't Spamton, and he makes enemies really easily.

Name: Strawberry Crepe Cookie

Age: ??? (but definitely a kid, lol)

Background: Coming from the same dimension as a certain Chili... This cookie's a master mechanist and overall tech wiz as well... However... When you look behind their sweet looks... You'll find a bitter secret, both in their history, and in their personality... Oh, and they're also part of a... Certain group of cookies who want to revive a... Certain dark force to bring about the end of the world... Or something (Note: OP isn't too sure about the lore about Cookie Run: Kingdom, lol)

Personality: Bitch. (But to elaborate further... Very self-centered, analytical, bored, and megalomaniacal. In other words... kind of twisted.)

Abilities: Spawning mechanical crepe arms, spawning shields blocking damage, prowess and expertise in robotics/mechanics...

Strengths: Cybernetic enhancements enhance their strength and overall durability compared to other Cookies... Their mechanical prowess also makes them a pro at technology, of course. Their analysis abilities could also prove useful in planning as well...

Weaknesses: They're a cookie, so... Yeah. Not exactly great in the constitution department. Even with cybernetic enhancements. And even if they weren't a cookie... they're a KID. Oh, and they're not exactly a people person, telling from their personality.

So I heard a certain Chili got into some trouble here... or something like that. Mind if I join in?

As an update, I will say that while I initially did intend to have 15 spots, I will more than likely bring it down to a minimum of 10-12 spots, due to people having personal life or burn-out getting in the way. I'll keep some of the spots open as optional, so if anyone happens to go over that mark, I'll work with it. But 10-12 will be the minimum. If I get 10-11, I'll have two scum roles and if I get 12, I'll have 3 scum roles.

* Background: Born in Brazil to a family of Japanese-Brazilian swordsmen, after his father's death and subsequent avenging of said death, Sam was hired by Desperado Enforcement as a PMC.

* Personality: Jovial and easygoing outside of combat, but still bloodthirsty and living for fighting.

* Abilities: Expert swordsman, strong, fast and aggressive 

* Strengths and Weaknesses: While he's a good fighter, he's still human, and he's also quite cocky, letting his enjoyment of fighting get the better of him.

* Name: Lucky O'Chopper
* Age: 4 in rabbit years, making him approximately 44 in human years.
* Background: Lucky was born in a pet shop in Scotland. For one reason or another, he wasn't bought by a normal pet owner
* Personality: Due to the loss of his paws to humans, Lucky is constantly in a state of blistering rage. His heart is sealed up with stone and he's adamant against making friends or even really showing kindness or happiness. He's quick on the draw and usually has some kind of weapon on his person, preferably shooting weapons. The thought of killing someone is one of very few things to make him smile, especially people who carry rabbits' feet.
* Abilities: Lucky has heightened senses of hearing and smell due to being a rabbit. The only talent he wasn't born with is his sharphooting, which is so accurate that he could get a chicken from about six yards away, and constantly practices to hit targets even farther.
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): The aforementioned abilities are his strengths. His weaknesses come from his small size and lack of weight, allowing him to be picked up and thrown around with ease. He's also easily goaded into wasting his shots.
* Other: Hates being called "bunny". Speaks in red.

Name: Tyler Black
Age: Physically 21 years old, waaaay older in actuality.
Appearance: What does the pic below display? Black, insectoid wings, scarf, and t-shirt; dark blue hair with sky blue streaks; sky blue hoodie; some scars and bandages; and he's got a vivid blue skirt. Yeah. That last bit is no joke either.
Gender/Pronouns: Male-ish, he/they
Backstory and Personality: A human experiment from some under-the-radar group, he was sent away and fled from them when goverment officials (actually SCP Foundation personnel in disguise) raided the facility to secure the stuff for themselves. Never finding out beyond the masquerade, he's lived for decades and has seen how things in the world don't change regardless of the intentions or sacrifices. As such, he's jaded and cynical, dismissive of idealism, prone to shittalk, and most of all...fucking bored and unstimulated.
Distinguishing Abilities: Flight and hovering with his insectoid wings, high aerial agility, and wields firearms, most commonly two pistols, one on each hand. And...an unaging body.
Strengths: High mobility, flight speed, and evasiveness as a result of his wings, great firearms skill.
Weaknesses: Constitution-wise is a glass cannon. A few shots on his wings at a height cripples him. And he's not very charismatic and not a people person, given his personality.
Other: sigh... What fresh patch of shit have I walked in on this time?

Oh and by the way, he's primarily inspired by the Sonic Adventure 2 song Throw It All Away!
