so you know what i'm talking about. great

honestly, since i've been up here i've been... thinking. a lot. idk if you know/remember this, dr. ito (just remembered your name finally) but after that incident i lost my memory for about... i want to say, three weeks

the things i did during that time and afterwards... up to and including my death. I didn't regret them at the time. but

You lost your memory. That explains why you didn't seem to be involved with the continuation of the experiment. I had just assumed you didn't want to be involved. Or you had died.

speaking of the continuation of the experiment

why the hell did you make a second one? if you assumed the first one killed me, then shouldn't that have dissuaded you from making another out of fear that it would kill more people?

For someone who always focused on company policy, I'm surprised you never noticed it until now.

And for your information. The second experiment didn't kill anyone.

...Well, he killed less people.

Within the three day duration of the experiment.

three day duration. so he lasted even shorter than the first one and still survived termination, somehow

[A message about intensifying the strength of lethal injections briefly appears but is swiftly deleted.]

Dr. de Lune, I saw that.

[There's some fast paced typing for a long, long time. Typing, then deleting. Typing, then deleting. Finally...]

There weren't any injections involved.

i said never mind, does that not imply i took back what i said?

and if he wasn't terminated (or attempted to) with injections, then why was the experiment so short

I intervened. With the second experiment. I do not have an explanation for #111387.

i was talking about the overarching experiment itself, not either particular incarnation

...nothing we can do about it now, though. especially not me, considering the first one has that ai protecting him and the second one has you

cool. just joined this forum. do people talk about massively unethical science all the time here or is that just you two

What about any of this implies unethicality.

if you're lucky? it's just us two. hopefully it's just us two

and for the record, i'm too dead to do science of any ethics level anymore, and if i somehow came back (i've seen it happen, thanks to my former colleague over here) i would stay as far removed from that lifestyle as i could manage

oh y'know, the killing and termination and stuff

we're taking a bit of a leap admittedly since you didn't specify in much detail

but making something that goes around killing people is generally a no-no in science

and most scientists don't use "he" to refer to lab rats
