"Someone broke into the Bootlegger's cabin "chopped off her head with an axe "and dragged the body out here." He holds up three fingers. "... I think that's it."

Finally - finally! - Ed shows up. Looks like he's been listening for at least the last couple of minutes.
Now who would want to do that, mess everything up for me... I mean, everyone here..., he mumbles to himself. Then composes himself. Look. I'm sure you'd all like a nice peaceful vacation here. That's not going to happen if the police are questioning and detaining everybody here and... shutting the place down, is it? So figure out who did it, and we'll keep 'em secure until they can be taken away by the police, and we'll hand their case to them on a platter... without 'em having to dig around where they don't belong... and it'll be much more peaceful that way. "Oui!" Bunyan exclaimed upon seeing the successful timber.
Babe mooed excitably as Bunyan picked up the log and carried it over her shoulder. The two returned to the mini golf course and Bunyan dropped her log for everyone to see. "Here's the log~" She grinned.

"Oh! That sounds nice! I'll get more wood!" Bunyan said in response to Mindy's, somewhat failing to catch on the fact that she was being sarcastic. "Not the dicussing the killer part but the bonfire and s'mores thing. Perhaps that's what we need to lighten up the mood for a bit.
With Babe following her, she returned to the forest, where... > Chop down more trees for the bonfire.

I think breaking the ice would put pressure on whoever's the killer. It'd be too calm for them maybe, putting the pressure on lies and deception...

I don't have any ideas, either, except for the very human idea that authorities should be contacted. But, Grunkle Ed says we shouldn't, and he's basically in charge around here. So... yeah.

Bunyan was away from the group when she went to chop down some trees, thus failed to hear their responses to her. When she came back, she dropped down the logs. She and Babe both set up the logs to form the campfire. After some attempts, she managed to get the fire going.
"Here we go," She sat in front of the campfire with Babe lying on her lap. "I don't have s'mores but hopefully this fire should do. But... now I realized that we should get back to stopping the killer no matter what. Any guesses?" |
