[Mafia] Witch Trip 2: The Witch is Back
Votes

Ai and Popo (2) (Talantravi, Konji)

6 to execute
I like bananas. They're yellow.
"Well, you two, do you have any counterarguments whatsoever, or are you going to walk to your deaths unobstructed because you're completely suicidal?"
nya
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Retorted Ai "Wait just a minute! Why are you so quick to blame us instead of first considering other suspects!?"
Hiiii!
"... when I said 'counterargument', I meant something that couldn't be parroted by literally any person who has the crowd's eye on them."
nya
"All i'm saying is that it's weird that instead of trying to think about what other suspects may have done this, you immediately decide to blame us."
Hiiii!
"Probably going down the list in order and hoping to catch someone. It's what, one in four since Stan just got here and Maryann was the one who saw the figure in the first place so those two are off the list. I think. If we believe what Maryann said about the figure anyway."

Well, one in three if she excluded herself, but whatever.
Stupid doomed timeline...
"No, there isn't anything especially suspicious about you. The crowd's eye is on you arbitrarily. You gotta give 'em a reason to go elsewhere. But if all you've got is 'why' and 'doing anything is sus', that's not gonna happen."
nya
"Oh god...it very well could be them, but...I don't know. What happens if we get it wrong? I want to hear their side of the story before I vote for anyone."
why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food
You all are actin’ like naang Ai and Popo aren't the only ones whose height fit naang Talantravi's measurements,” Phikul says, “I'm with them. It's very odd.

"Like I said they could just be going down the list. Which I guess is a way to do things but unless the first guess is right it's gonna end up with some innocent people dead too... 'Though Konji following the vote right away seems kinda weird. I dunno, I don't want to just go on a bandwagon like that."
Stupid doomed timeline...
Why, Vahldahlkol, would it be strange, to pick a target from a list? We must pick one, and in the end, I picked the ones atop of this. My case is made, the die is cast, this path is one been walked before, by your defense you mark yourself, and I shall now suspect you more.

She slams her axe into a stump, to punctuate the end of her increasingly poetic phrasing. It sticks there. Small insects and spiders scamper away from her in the grass. Her armor rattles as she shifts to face everyone.

The case is plain, the past has spoke, the legend shall be etched in stone, will your hopes go up in smoke, or will you let me get you home?

"We're hardly the only suspects here. And i agree it's odd that Konji decides to follow the vote right away."
Hiiii!
Maryann walks up to Ai, and

SLAP!

smacks her right in the face.

"You fucking dumbasses! Quit being passive idiots! Quit just trying to survive, and start trying to kill the bad guys! Before they kill you!"
nya
"Hey!" said Ai. "Actually, isn't it weird that the Konji just  followed the blame to me with no questions? Huh?"
Hiiii!
Yeh got to wonder if it's because pyaya Konji has something to do with all this…

"Stupid maybe, but I wouldn't call it weird," Maryann says. "I know this kind of crowd. You're all gonna follow the first suggestion anyone makes cause you're too terrified of being wrong to put forth any ideas at all." She snorts. "Gives easy cover if he is a bad guy, though."
nya
Listen to naang Maryann! And I still think we should consider the other suspects. I won't name names, but I honestly feel like there's others who are much more suspicious than naang Ai and her son.
At this, Phikul turns to where he thinks the others are.

There is no blame to levy, no, we merely make a choice to slay.TO SLAY! The evidence suggests six foes, of which but four we're wont to say... YouYou were first upon the list, you'reYou're the one we choose to fight, I do not think you'll long be missed, so why should you escape my bite?SO WHY SHOULD YOU ESCAPE MY BITE?

The words echo and twist strangely in the air, and the poeticness makes it a little difficult to understand, but it sounds like a challenge, a demand to Popo and Ai to explain why they should not be executed, and who in their place they would suggest dies. She's withdrawn the axe from the stump now, and points the end at Ai and Popo. It's as if the world is bending around her, attempting to avoid her, even as it weaves in ways to empower her.

Oh, we're rhymin’ things now.”
It's hard to tell if that's a question or a statement, but either way, Phikul seems slightly bemused ( maybe even amused ) at her words.

I see it many times as the General... an intimidating force to hide the true mastermind. It is often the one you least suspect.
The General pauses.
As of yet, no clues as to who is the most likely perpetrator. I could just as easily deal my blade to any of you, but the limits as to who is the true perpetrator are rather arbitrary and only given by an eyewitness.
You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby.
Talantravi chooses a different tack in addition to agreeing with Maryann's stance on Ai and Popo's defense. She outstretches a hand to the crowd.

Join us both, and strike them down, from Leaders down to Ravkhiniv, Victory is close at hand as long as in us, you believe! A dragon's will is rare to garner, the scaled ones, they often win, and if you don't trust Drachykondahl, put your trust in Alksorkhin!

Why is she delivering everything in rhyme now? She's also using less long phrases from her own language. Something's clearly shifted in her, or perhaps the world. Maybe this is always how she spoke.
I am the They who says it!
Ai is a bit nervous. Popo especially is a little afraid.

"All i can say is that i'm not sure if anyone seems more suspicious than the other, but i will say this. Maybe Konji is innocent, maybe not, but to me, him already agreeing that we might be guilty without questioning seem to make him more suspicious. Like he's hiding something."
Hiiii!
You propose a second time, and others twice and thrice again...

Talantravi points at Phikul during the "twice and thrice" part.

that we should find a target new, consider different Thrahchpradkhin. But can you speak a reason true that we had best stay deadly blade? There's nothing else to go upon, except this list that I have made.

She raises her hands in annoyance.

What would you propose we do? How does delay serve any cause? Why should I not run both them through? For fear we might have chosen wrong? How do you think we ought to choose, as any choice is but a guess? Do you know more than you have said? Or know you nothing, like the rest?

She takes a breath and begins the final stanza.

Maryann is wise in words, she speaks of what you must do now. Give a reason none else could why we should not just cut you down.

Ting-Lu stares at Talantravi and Konji.
This is a bit hasty, is it not? If the boy really can breath fire, he would be the prime suspect in the case the lighter wasn't used. Of course, the mother would protect him to the bitter end.

It asks Konji scathingly:
What makes you think that kid knows anything, let alone masterminded this foul murder? Why is the mother not the brains behind it?

Then Phikul:
It is true that others are suspects according to the list. Who is your prime suspect, then?

It responds to Talantravi's questioning threat:
How do you know Maryann neither misremembered nor lied?
What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!
... I really don't know what to think here. Maybe we do need to... er... have someowne... be dead... and as meowch as I'm listening to Talantravi and Konji... I don't know...
hey who turned out the lights?
