i'm still terrible at old irish so i'll be reading english translations that i got at mary jones' celtic literature collective and university college cork's ISO, CDI, and CELT.

i'm not gonna go into FCC into too much detail bc i want to get into the main story, but i'm just gonna write down some stuff that might be important.

a guy called cumhaill gets killed by this guy called iollann. then iollann gets an eye put out so he changes his name to goll ( "half-blind" ). and then goll kills the guy who put his eye out. 

and then it turns out cumhaill's wife back home is pregnant, so she goes to all her family members trying to get help and ends up moving in with her sister-in-law and her husband. and then the baby is born.
