Shinji started scooping up a bit of wet sand and making it into a little sculpture of an EVA.

Skelebob slams the closet open. There's an unidentifiable person in there. Luckily, it seems Skelebob's well. Skeleton-ness is enough to scare the guy off, and they disappear in a colorful flash of light.

"...Skelebob? What're you doing?" Behind you, Christine's seemed to talk to you. "Look, I just...I don't know why you're here, and I didn't WANT to mention it, but like...you're looking through closets and such."

Olivia heads indoors, her husband grabbing her some lemonade. One of her kids, the eldest, runs up to her. "Mom! Where were you?"

Olivia goes through her portal and finds herself at her own front door in the timeline she saw where she had a family. Her oldest daughter is doing homework, her middle son is playing a computer game, and her youngest daughter is helping her father make dinner in the kitchen. They're making pasta with some homemade sauce. The smell of the sauce is really good. "Honey? ...I thought you were going to be at work late today, for another hour."

With a tip of his hat, Skelebob leaves his good friend for cardiology. Or where he could lose Christine and make it back to the mansion(?).

"It is a calming noise, yes. But yet, it is a destructive force, too. It can destroy villages, kill people, houses horrifying creatures…and yet you still center so much of your life around it. Bottling it, making pools, opening beaches, sailing the seas…it might be in some sort of futile effort to please this force that gives us life, yet can take that life just as easily. Perhaps thinking that pleasing it will keep it from unleashing it's chaos. Something that the Lilin need to survive, yet could easily be killed by. Is there anything in your life you despise, yet still feel the need to be with, Shinji?"

Skelebob easily loses Christine in the chaos of the hospital. Over the loud noises of PA announcements, machinery beeping, and people talking, he gets a notice from BOB-B.

Good job, new person. Looks like my calculations had merit to back them up. Head back when you can. Just find an isolated place and I will calibrate the portal to return you to home point.

After the hug, Olivia, just rolling with what she knows in her current place, is already wanting to make her family happy.

"That's... true. Yeah. You can just get pulled down or pulled out to sea, even if you know how to swim."

"..." Shinji picks up another clump of sand.

"This sand thing, it's mostly about getting the right level of moisture in the sand." He starts turning the clump of sand into a portrait of Kaworu's face. It's... not fantastic giving the limitations of sand, but he's trying.
