Incidentally, MODOK was originally planned to appear in the MCU series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but that plan didn't go through. One of the characters of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Koenig, was played by none other than... Patton Oswald, who currently voices MODOK in his own series! COINCIDENCE?!
Well, maybe, I dunno. Maybe Mr. Oswald was just really bummed that there wasn't going to be a MODOK in the series he was in, so Marvel Studios said, "Guess what, we ARE doing MODOK, and we're offering you the role!".
