actually I'd originally just had "burgundy" as a color

and then something that was... kinda sorta the opposite of whatever that thing was happened

and negative burgundy was born (negative like... opposite lol)

I assign colors to things, you get used to it.

(there's also metaphorical burgundy but I haven't used that one in years lmao)

and burgundy is just burgundy, though I've called it "positive burgundy" to differentiate from "negative burgundy"

the original thingcolor was red

and it was originally used for some weird glitch that knocked you back several pages after posting

fun fact it was only red because when I posted "that was a thing" like that I liked how the bright-ass red stood out as a contrast color

it could have been any nice bright color but it was red because why not.

and that is how thingcolors began.

the best one though is probably existential turquoise now though. (or at least, one of the most... prevalent.)

I've never been in TTS.

I came up with existential turquoise a while back in one of the shitpost/chat threads and it kinda caught on.

also I'd come up with it some time before I found a way to depict it, then about a month and a half ago I decided "yes I shall use evil teal text for this, it is perfect.

and ever since then I have depicted existential turquoise in the proper coloration.

iirc I came up with it originally a few years back and it made a resurgence because... I forgot why. Because it was cool and I wanted to do more with it I guess.
