Khom stops coughing. "a-anyways, what were we talking about again?"

It's probably for the best you don't have your stylist, Candy. Your looks might get you over on Nickelodeon, but this is the big leagues. You need to look a bit more professional.

"No organ harvesting from me, I promise. I'll try to make sure everybody's internal organs stay inside of them. Okay? Okay. Good."

Val turns back to Khom.

"I was asking what things dragons like you can do before that Arvil had a meltdown. Sorry if I overwhelmed you with all those questions. I got just a bit ahead of myself, since in school I was taught that dragons went extinct around a thousand years ago. One day, they just went poof and disappeared. That's what the historians say, anyway. Guess they were wrong after all if there's not one, but two dragons here, heh!"

Valania laughs confidently, but also a bit shakily, as if her self-esteem secretly took a bit of a hit.

"Organ harvesting? Wait, what? You guys better not be harvesting each other's organs! That'll get us in a whole load of legal trouble. Probably. Just don't kill each other, alright team?"

... yeah, Khom knows what to do, right? Just move away from the situation and... there! That fairy... thingie... there. Maybe they'll talk about something not organ-related.

A lot more than you do, sister. I shine brightly, dressing in gold. I light up any room I go to. Plus I have my natural hair color. Your hair looks like someone ate a Smurf and Gumby and threw up on your head.

As he goes towards Bronwyn, Khom catches Valania's question amidst Jack and Candy's vitriol tossing.

"oh, yeah! i'm... well, i'm not extinct, as far as i can tell, so..."

"Well I'm certainly not going to kill anybody and harvest their organs!"

A slight pause.

"And before anyone asks, my hair's natural. Not sure I could afford enough dye to color it if I wanted to."

[Caret]

"Well, that's just wonderful! Never thought I would be meeting a dragon until now, but this is neat regardless! Tell me, do you have any special powers?"

[PointMaid]

Candy sniffs. Gold? Your clothing and hair - and ridiculous moustache - are old-fashioned, Jack. Just like you.

Khom instantly perks up.

"OH! I DO!!! watch!"

Khom takes up a stance, as he reaches both of his arms out to what seems like open air. He looks like this green idiot, except... remove the bomb, make him a dragon, and give him a green hoodie, blue pants (jeans?) and red shoes. Also, add some goggles above his eyes.



Soon enough, something... flat and white manifests in his hand. It falls neatly into Khom's hands, as he shows it off what seems like... a white square he just summoned.

"ta-daaa!"

Valania doesn't know exactly what Khom just summoned, but regardless she can't help to be amazed.

"Wohaaaaaaaa! That's some cool magic you have there! Summoning magic's not the most common thing where I live"

She wonders if she should introduce Khom and by extension everyone else to her magic. But maybe she should let the dragon finish explaining first.

"wait, that's summoning?"

Khom takes a closer look at the square he just summoned. It's roughly as tall as his chest, and a bit wider than his chest, forming a square-ish shape.

"i never really considered this kind of stuff summoning, but i guess it makes sense to put it under that."

Khom spins the white square around on one of his fingers, before making it dissipate.

"what you just saw was a barrier i made. it's meant to protect, of course, but they can be used for a lot of things if you put your mind to it!"

[Kennifer]

"That's so cool, I wish I could make barriers!"

[Mr. Lee Hammer]

My mustache is not stupid, Jack says under his breath before witnessing Khom's square. Pretty neat trick. And yes, protection is important. And I would be intrigued if you were to find a way to do more with it.

Bronwyn notices Khom approaching.

Valania beams.

"Barrier magic, huh? Awesome! Conjuring barriers is a useful ability for when you're surrounded by baddies! I wish I knew how to make barriers too, sport!"

Khom nods.

"yeah, and here's one of the uses i found for it! watch!"

Khom jumps up, and summons a barrier under him. He lands on the barrierWOAHAWOAAHWOAH-

Khom has just fallen off the barrier. He has hit his head against the ground.

... he's alive, but he's not waking up.

[Kennifer]

"I'd show you something cool if anyone had brought a phone or tablet or anything with the right kind of battery in it, but ah... I guess if anyone had, they would've tried to call the police and report a mass kidnapping by now, huh? I don't seem to have mine with me..."

Talk about having the lights knocked out of you, Jack says after witnessing Khom knocking himself out cold.
