"Well, you'll be able to go wherever you like now," Cletus says, setting his shovel down. "The rubble's all cleared out and the tunnel's properly shored up again. We're gonna come back later and investigate the cause of the collapse... I can't imagine Vince would've been willing to let his spa just fall into disarray if he died, and whoever ends up running this place will need to know how to prevent a repeat."

Nico came back with his box of medicine, popping in a couple pills to make up for the week. "Looks like I have a while before the van comes. I could go see the rest of the city!"

"Well, now we gotta go home! My mother must be really worried. And i gotta get some birdseeds too! And besides, Suzume has her duty to.... do regular sparrow stuff, with me. At home."

Nico's eyes began to glitter. "Hey! Since this vacation went bust and I was dead the whole time, I could use a beach party! That'll really show everybody that I can behave! And I haven't touched beach sand in ages! I could build sand robots!"

A beach vacation does sound good. I would come with you, yes. Palm trees creating some shade, a beach chair, a nice drink, some swimming... an excuse to read something trashy for once.

Nico galloped down to the white sand, soon tripping and finding himself rolling around headfirst like a tumbleweed. His laughter caused him to inhale some of his little sandstorm and sent him into a coughing fit.

Tyson runs and makes a cannonball into the water. He swims around and

Oh, I understand. I don't intend to shanghai you into my service or anything. Word of your death has spread back to the rest of the world, though. I don't think you'll be able to simply return to your old life. ... Where you do go next is up to you, but I've at least got some suggestions, if you need them.
