I don't know too much about the bartender, given that I was kicked out of his bar a couple days ago. Mind telling me more about him, so that I can offer my own thoughts?

"Oh man..Wood Man's dead?"

HE seems generally distraught about it.

[6]: The only current residents of the apartment complex are... that can't be right, it's ONLY you "consultants"? Well, and the landlord.

Mathra was killed on the edge of the Catkin district. It looks like the killer wouldn't have even needed to enter the district. Seko is there, pacing wildly. You can't see her face behind her gas mask, but she's clearly agitated.

Oh, there you are. Good. You've got the reports, now I need to get moving. There's a problem. A big one. Don't turn on the news, and don't mess up the crime scene here. I'll be back as soon as I can.

She jumps into her cruiser and speeds off out of the nine blocks.

Well, he hasn't exactly been forthcoming. The bar has been coming up a lot in this investigation. It's where Jane Doe was coming from. And it's right in the Catkin. A bartender's going to be right there, all night, aren't they? A lot of the deaths happen real early in the morning, right? Something going on in the bar maybe right around Last Call, people get snoop-y and get killed.

...Wouldn't mind figuring out whether they have access to a shotgun, bayonet, you know, something to defend the bar with. Other double checking, before we arrest him.

[?]: Well, if Cicero knew that the pawnshop guy had bayonets, he could easily have bought a shotgun from the arms dealer on 4 and a bayonet from the pawnshop.

[10]: You wake up the day guard at the warehouse with your wild searching noises, asleep in front of the doors to the Strickland one, in a folding chair, who glares at you through sunglasses in response.

We're doing this again? You got a warrant for that?

...you don't even need to roll for "where the tub came from." It came from the bathroom of the room above, obviously.

Dr. Fischer [9]: heads to the store and looks at the TV Display. It's broadcasting local news... holy shit, is that Seko trying to push her way through a swarm of reporters from many stations in front of the police station?

WAS THE TCPD AWARE OF THE BODIES?

HAS THERE BEEN ANY INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATH OF THE MAYOR?

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO FIND THE BODIES?

The thing at the bottom where the blurb is (the highly technical term) says "Mayor, City Council's bodies found in Mayor's House after recent fires."

Terezi can't find a news app on the phone... but Wikipedia is apparently available. [8]: She checks the "recent news" part of the home page, and clicks "202X Tripford City Sewer Explosion." Scrolling through the article, it looks like the sewer explosion last night caused a number of fires across the town, including at the mayor's house. It burned down, revealing the bodies of the mayor and most of the city council (who were reported missing at various times throughout the year) buried under the floorboards, all plainly shot.

...Mathra was loitering in front of the bar. And the warehouse guard wants a warrant. Think I should get one or just find some equipment to arrest Cicero? Anybody with me?

[8]: You stay at the front of the growing crowd of people watching the TVs. Apparently, twelve city sewer workers died in the recent explosion, and the federal government is claiming jurisdiction to investigate based on the claim that because a victim of the explosion was an employee at the treatment plant, who lived out of state, they have jurisdiction. The TCPD is apparently suing to say that the feds do not have jurisdiction. Meanwhile, a bunch of journalists came in from out-of-town to investigate the explosion, and managed to get some anonymous citizen sources commenting on the dictatorial Clearday regime, and how brutal the police state is at crushing dissent.

We should probably get that warrant first. And many ask some questions of Cicero before we take him in.
