Murdergame rules
0. Forum-wide rules still apply. Also, since murdergames are half roleplay, roleplay rules apply here too.
For players:
1. If your character is dead, don't post in the thread, with the possible exception of an OOC "bah" post if your mod allows them. Threads might have private "deadchats" where you can talk to other dead players, do not reveal anything said here.
2. When joining a game, please make sure you can actually regularly participate and play the game. Try to at least post a few times during every day phase. If you realize halfway through you don't have time anymore or don't want to play, please let the host know as soon as possible so they can find a replacement player. Said replacement will take your spot and take over for your role (if applicable)
3. Do not discuss game-specific info or strategies outside of thread with other players, unless your role specifically says you can do so. Discussion for mafia/killer/scum team should preferably happen in a private thread or other private chat. Similarly, do not reveal your role outside of the thread.
4. Do not post during the night phase, except when allowed by the game mod.
For hosts:
1. If hosting a game with roles, it is generally recommended for night phases to last a predetermined time, and actions to be processed regardless of the order they were sent in. MafiaScum's Natural Action Resolution is a good system, if you're stuck.
2. It's recommended to send out role PMs to everyone, including those with a vanilla/powerless town role, to avoid confusion about if anyone got their role PM or not.
3. Hosting a murdergame is a commitment. If you can't, at the very least, get an update in every day, you probably don't have enough time to host. Relatedly, it's a really good idea to get a co-host, to take over the game if you vanish if nothing else.
