Choose Your Own Adventure - Lofour - 08-27-2022
Took from one of my TV Tropes' forum games. In this game, someone makes a CYOA-styled post with 2 or more choices, and the next person chooses the choice they like, continues the story with it, puts 2 or more choices on their post, and so on.
Example:
User 1: While venturing through the woods, you come across a temple. What do you do?
A - Enter the temple.
B - Ignore the temple and move on.
User 2: A - Enter the temple. You enter the temple and see some statues holding gems. There is a sign on one of the statues that say, "Steal this gem and perish from this world." What do you do?
A - Take the gem.
B - Leave the temple.
C - Get a gem from the other statue.
User 3: C - Get a gem from the other statue. You ignore the statue with the sign and go to the other statue to grab the gem. However, the temple suddenly begins to collapse once the gem is in your hands. What do you do?
A - Leave quickly with the gem in hand.
B - Put the gem back in its place.
Rules:
- The protagonist cannot die.
- New stories may be started after a number of posts have been created. However, the story must have an ending, whether it would be a happy ending (the good ending), a downer ending (the bad ending), or a bittersweet ending (a mix of the good and the bad endings).
I'll start: You have been ordered by the King of Troperia to find the magical Emerald of Truth, which is said to give the person who keeps it magical powers. It is located in a small castle in the forests of Amplapia. When you arrive at the forest, you see a dark cave with an ominous red glow. What do you do?
A - Investigate the cave.
B - Ignore the cave and move on.

A - Investigate the cave.
The cave's glow seems rather ominous, but passing through you see it is a mere fog. A sign promises that the cave will safely lead to the Emerald. What do you do?
A - Go further into the cave.
B - Leave the cave and continue through the forest.
C - Report back and gather a party.

Descending further into the cave, you reach an intersection that splits three ways. You see light shining through the left route, a mysterious fog in the middle route and the right one appears to be heading downwards. Which route do you take?
A - The right route.
B - The foggy route.
C - The lightened route.

You decide to head into the light. There you see a longsword which shines brightly. It can be a weapon that can come in handy. But as you approach it, you hear voices coming toward you. What will you do?
1. Grab the sword and quickly leave.
2. Hide and see who the voices are coming from.
3. Stay and see who the voices are, perhaps talk with them if possible.
