The Lost Media Thread - Dookie - 01-29-2021 Talk about Currently Lost, Formerly Lost, and Thought To Be Lost (But actually fake) Media. RE: The Lost Media Thread - Huney - 01-29-2021 Gonna start with the one that upsets me the most. Did you know there was a Phantom Blood movie? That is, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's first major arc, Phantom Blood. It was animated by the same studio that did the Stardust Crusaders OVA, Studio A.P.P.P., and brought the shortest arc in the series to the big screen. You'd think hey, a wide released adaptation of one of the most influential manga of all time. surely it's not that lost. Nope. It's gone like the wind. Nobody knows entirely why, but people point to the manga's author, Hirohiko Araki, disapproving of it. To paraphrase his words, it sucked shit through a straw. Not in THOSE words obviously. But he didn't like it. As of now, all that survives is a few minutes of mute footage given to sound editors for practice and a PS2 adaptation of the movie. RE: The Lost Media Thread - MadeOfMilk - 01-30-2021 YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THIS SHIT IS MY JAM While it's not exactly lost media, one of the things that has been interesting me lately is The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet. I guess maybe it could count as the actual song was found but the band hasn't. Basically someone recorded a new wave song off of German radio back in late 1983 or 1984, put it on cassette, and forgot about it for years before rediscovering the tape. They asked on the Internet if anyone knew what the song was called, which kicked off a nearly 13-year search to find the song's name and artist. Sucks nobody knows its name yet, because the song fucking slaps. RE: The Lost Media Thread - ~okami~ - 01-30-2021 Garfield prototype comic is wild yo https://lostmediawiki.com/Jon_(found_prototype_%22Garfield%22_comic_strip;_1976-1978) RE: The Lost Media Thread - AyyBee121 - 01-30-2021 (01-30-2021, 00:12:30 AM)CustardAndPie Wrote: YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THIS SHIT IS MY JAM I agree, The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet slaps. RE: The Lost Media Thread - awe921 - 01-30-2021 formerly lost. this song from the Hotline Miami 2 unused soundtrack was not found for years, but recently it's been found. now while the track itself has been found, the EP still has to surface. RE: The Lost Media Thread - Dookie - 01-30-2021 Four words: Lost. Shrek. Animation. Test. https://lostmediawiki.com/Shrek_-_I_Feel_Good_(partially_found_animation_test_of_computer-animated_film;_1996) Is that not memey enough? If not, there's a lost movie based around internet memes with the plot of Alice In Wonderland: https://lostmediawiki.com/The_Chronicles_of_Rick_Roll_(unreleased_film_based_on_internet_memes;_2013) RE: The Lost Media Thread - a-boy-playing-with-rubiks - 01-30-2021 Wonder what the plot would be. Like, would it be the man rescuing his Internet GF from something? RE: The Lost Media Thread - MadeOfMilk - 02-01-2021 Honestly I wish people would shut the hell up about Saki Sanobashi. There's little to no evidence that it ever existed but people just keep grasping at straws in some desperate attempt to prove that it totally exists somewhere and that they need to find it. If anything, the person who started it probably just mashed up multiple horror anime films they hadn't seen in years into a weird hodgepodge memory. Of course, that assumes the person who started it was doing it out of good faith and not trolling, but still. We have actually found a short that matches up with most of the things the Redditor said. Solved, right? Apparently not. Also, thing about it. Why the fuck would Nickelodeon air something with real animal bones, animals in jars, and other creepy things? As someone who was actually watching Nickelodeon during the time frame the Redditor claimed they saw it (early 2000's), I would legit not be surprised if something like this actually did air on Nickelodeon. They've always been known for airing weird shit (hell, they were the channel that aired the formerly-lost Clock Man short!), so a short featuring real animal bones being puppeted doesn't strike me as something out of character for Nickelodeon. RE: The Lost Media Thread - Dookie - 02-10-2021 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo We will never have another Ice Age 4D ride. RE: The Lost Media Thread - ~okami~ - 02-10-2021 It is time to create the nimona lost media wiki page...... RE: The Lost Media Thread - Dookie - 02-12-2021 In 2014, Nickelodeon started to air a show called WebHeads. At first, it seems like everything is found. There are 2 seasons listed in Wikipedia, and two on ITunes. The problem is, the 2 seasons on ITunes is the first season split apart. So what happened to the second? My personal theory is that Nickelodeon aired all of the season 2 episodes in a marathon, and then never aired them again. I remember seeing promos for marathons on Nicktoons. This is a classic example on how to make a show lost. How do we know that this is true? Well, we do have some evidence. For one, both Wikipedia and Google Play list there being 2 seasons with 20 episodes each. For second, multiple WebHeads episodes not on ITunes have been found. Here's my best bet on what these episodes are, based off of the name and content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaT2xy35pSE - Kayaker on the Rocks Sadly, that's all that survives, and the show is so obscure it doesn't even have a page on the wiki. Unfortunatly, we are still missing 19 other episodes from that season, including a Henry Danger Celebrity Edition, 5 Nick App Editions, a Pet Edition, an Epic Fail edition, a Crazy Human Tricks Edition, and a mysterious episode only known as "Episode 11". So, please help me in finding this lost Nickelodeon Gameshow that was such a big part of my childhood. RE: The Lost Media Thread - awe921 - 02-21-2021 they found the Dinosaur Planet beta... also known as Star Fox Adventures. link to the twitter post regarding its finding https://twitter.com/forestillusion/status/1363090008916193282 you can nab it here. https://archive.org/details/dino_20210220 RE: The Lost Media Thread - Dookie - 03-16-2021 Here's a list of recently found stuff: Toon Jam! - Found Cartoon Network PC Game Pokemon Learning League (Still partially lost) - Lost online Pokemon education web series Roger Rabbit 2: Who Discovered Roger Rabbit? RE: The Lost Media Thread - Longing7 - 03-26-2021 The media that I want the most to be found is Sagwa, The Chinese Siamese Cat's missing English audio (and higher quality episodes if they count). Currently, there are four episodes that have their English audio lost. 1. A New Cook In The Kitchen (Available in Brazilian Portuguese.) 2. And Action [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9RxDm4I-zc] (Available in Brazilian Portuguese.) 3. Three Graces [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPYNfZHRgSE] (Available in Brazilian Portuguese.) 4. Homesick Jun [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxGoONmDR74] (Available in Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese.) And while not technically "lost", there are a few episodes that have their English versions only available in the form of a cam-rip. 5. Cool Fu-Fu [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV_sKGG3mD8] 6. Sagwa The Stray [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2MZoFBK43I] 7. Up, Up and Away [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQIeHJlf6GY] 8. The Zodiac Zoo [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oBTaEfjMtM] 9. Lost and Found [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COiQEECL6pU] 10. Catsitter [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqQBRncm0aU] While these episodes are available in more than a cam-rip, I think I'd still like for better quality versions to be found of these. 11. Cats of A Different Class [https://youtu.be/RvonN8maWDY] (More specifically, better audio.) 12. Master of Mistakes [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg3ty4rpSXM] (While both the visual and audio quality aren't that bad, I'd still like for a better quality version to be found.) 13. My Fair Kitty [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-CeJietc9s] (Decent audio, but the visuals are very blurry.) 14. Tea For Two Monkeys [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etkK2X76bb0] (The audio is from the cam-rip version of this episode, and the visuals could be way better.) 15. Sister Act [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi9imrIwdSM] (The audio quality could be better for the first twenty five seconds. Other than that, the visuals and audio for the rest seem fine.) 16. Too Close For Comfort [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVhJ2E67ozY] (The audio and visual quality could be better for the first twenty five seconds. There is also a rather major bug around the 2:40 and 3:00 mark, too. Other than that, the visuals and audio for the rest seem fine. 17. The Name Game [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-tDlJfBtN4] (The audio is from the cam-rip version of this episode, the visuals are okay.) 18. On The Run [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DUf__IeQY8] (The visuals and audio are a bit glitchy.] 19. Cha-Siu Bow Wow [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdAcimD2ePs] (The audio is from the cam-rip version of this episode. Quality-wise, the recording is really good, but I'd like for a version without the subtitles and the logo.) 20. Mutt That Would Be King [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81AxuXiQaQo] (The first four minutes of this contains the Portuguese footage and the cam-rip audio. Other than that, the recording seems fine.) |
