CATS has a plan to save the day. First, password locks. They work great, until the pilots stop changing them out of frustration. Even then they still work pretty well because you're not supposed to ask the password, though there is an occasional problem of the pilots getting locked out of the spaceships. Then, the textbooks are swapped out for much more propaganda-heavy ones, and any questions are answered with "no, that's the way it is." This simple strategy works nicely. The third part of the plan, offering to take people's shopping trip for them and then walking off with their ration cards, works well. When people complain about the fraud by government officials, they just get told it was a test and that it's illegal to give another person your rations card.

Do you all think Superman has a sense of humor? Jerry always said that he had one just like anyone else. But I never heard him say anything funny. In all my time I read the comics, I never one saw him say anything funny. I think it's common sense that people either are born with a sense of humor or they're not.

Well, that's goin' against his character. Superman should be somebody who strives to be the every-man, trying to save the day and fight for justice each and every day. And all that going on, I really wouldn't think having a sense of humor would be the first thing on your mind. I mean, what if you were a Kryptonian and you got superpowers? Wouldn't you be concentrating on using them for good? I'd be focused on that, I wouldn't even find the time to think up jokes because I'd be trying to lift a train above my head to save people from going off a bridge. It just doesn't make any sense!

Maybe so, but I'm just saying not everyone has a sense of humor. They always walk around, miserable. Miserable because they never get their way, drive off women, or live with a father who always berates them or wrestles them every Festivus! And all they can do is tell themselves "Serenity Now!"
George finds himself getting more tense.
