The door opens up to a stairwell. It goes down... down so far, you wonder if you'll ever reach the bottom -
when suddenly you do.
Despite how far down you've gone, what you reach looks like a fairly ordinary basement.
Y'know, aside from the blood, the bones, and the sacrifical altar with the candles.
Three ritually-dismembered bodies can be seen in the corner. No points for guessing who they are.
The Death Cult Is A Cult!
Compelled, Malakhiri walks up to the altar and retrieves one of their finest ritual daggers from a pocket in their robes.
With a few swift slashes, their blood is flowing onto the altar, and with another swift stab, they dispatch themself.
And somehow, the truth quickly becomes clear...

Well, no more crazy Death Priest shenanigans to laugh at, but on the other hand investigating further crime scenes will be easier with the Janitor gone, which is... much better than laughing at a crazy death priest be over the top.

Once more, the sun rises. With Malakhiri no longer cleaning things up every night, it's much more obvious what happened while you slept... and it seems that what happened was nothing. How curious.
