RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

DAY PHASE

You find the main studio flooded. Maybe it was a mistake to run real water into the steamboat set...

Lotta and Mincer are surveying the scene and discussing whether they need to bring in the studio insurance. Probably not, it's cartoons, they'll be able to clean it up. Later.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Florien - 01-02-2023

Oh, did your favorite get killed on Game of Thrones, Leroy? Loretta says dispassionately, looking at the flooding. Leroy silently glares.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Guma - 01-02-2023

Everyone here and accounted for? Let me see what I can do about all this water.

> check myself for rust and/or short-circuting

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - TheOtherCG - 01-02-2023

Walt was woken up rudely by the water. As he stood up, he saw the main studio flooded.

"Gah!" Walt shouted. "Where did this water come from?"

Walt hopped onto a nearby crate just so he can be on some dry land.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

> check for rust and/or short-circuting

You seem to be okay. Must not have been in contact with water that long and/or have decently waterproof electronics.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Kennifer - 01-02-2023

Tina had mostly climbed up into the rafters; she's clinging onto a beam. From the looks of it she had only done so after the flooding started, since her clothes and hair were damp.

"I'm okay. It's too bad Teddy's not here, I bet he could get rid of the water. He's our handyman. Anyway... nobody drowned, did they?"

>...from where she is, could Tina see any bodies floating in the water?

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Florien - 01-02-2023

Leroy and Lorretta walk around the less-flooded parts of the studio, >Looking for a body.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Mr. Lee Hammer - 01-02-2023

>...from where she is, could Tina see any bodies floating in the water? (Tina)

No one is floating in the water. However, you do see Haruhi tied to a pillar. And she doesn't look very much alive.

Man, was hoping for some summer camp murder hijinks from her! Oh well! Dead is dead! Good job, killers!

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - TheOtherCG - 01-02-2023

"Oh right this is a death game," Walt reminded himself.
> Join the others in searching for any bodies

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - TheOtherCG - 01-02-2023

Then Walt discovers Haruhi's body.
He's naturally horrified but he gonna do some investigating
> Investgate Haruhi's body

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - wingedcatgirl - 01-02-2023

"Well, this is inconvenient," Adrien says, swimming through the water to the rest of the group. (Where'd he get a wetsuit?)

... and then he sees the murder scene. "... Merde."

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Guma - 01-02-2023

> buzzsaw a hole in the ground to drain the water

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

I know, Mincer! You just never know, do you? Keeps us and the viewers on our toes. But at least somebody was eliminated last night. We can't have the competition without eliminations!

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

> buzzsaw a hole in the ground to drain the water

...Nice try, but that just made a mess of the set

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Mr. Lee Hammer - 01-02-2023

> Investgate Haruhi's body (Walt)

She's dead, that's about all you can tell

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Kennifer - 01-02-2023

Tina hyperventilates some at this sight. And

>try to keep holding onto the beam and not fall into the water in a panic

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - TheOtherCG - 01-02-2023

> Look closer to see if she got strangled/stabbed/poisoned

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

(Apologies to CG on my part, I missed that last action and went on to Guma's instead)

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Guma - 01-02-2023

Dammit... someone's dead and this studio doesn't follow the laws of physics. Someone lend me a hand here!

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Mr. Lee Hammer - 01-02-2023

>try to keep holding onto the beam and not fall into the water in a panic (Tina)

You manage to get a tight grip on it and not fall off. Are you imagining that beam as a boy's butt?

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

> Look closer to see if she got strangled/stabbed/poisoned

Unfortunately, you're having a hard time determining that

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Florien - 01-02-2023

Leroy looks at the body for a moment, then speaks.

I'm surprised I didn't drown, what with this ball and chain I have with me.

There is no emotion in his words other than the normal raw exhaustion that normally permeates them. Meanwhile, Loretta tries to think of something vaguely amusing to say at the situation, but fails, so instead she

>Heads out to look for a water pump to drain the studio with.

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - TheOtherCG - 01-02-2023

"Hmm, I can't tell how she died," Walt said. "Maybe it's the kind of poison that doesn't leave any obvious mark on the exterior of the body? Or some sort of gas? Either way, I'll go search for the murder weapon."
> Search for the murder weapon (whether it'll be poison pills, containers containing deadly gas or something else)

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - Mr. Lee Hammer - 01-02-2023

>Heads out to look for a water pump to drain the studio with. (Lockhorns)

You all find a water pump and you manage to drain out that excessive water from the studio. Now no more risk of drowning

RE: Toontown Showdown 2 - PointMaid - 01-02-2023

> Search for the murder weapon (whether it'll be poison pills, containers containing deadly gas or something else)

You don't find a murder weapon
