...I'm not particularly proud of that, except that it allowed Lars to get away. I lost my temper. Which can happen to anyone, mind you, when sufficiently provoked, and isn't indicative of... well. But he was threatening Lars right in front of me.

As everyone finishes up their tasks for the day and heads off for the night to get off the island for good, a hand pops out of the pit, then another. And Blaine rises out of it, only this time looking more... different than usual. His skin now very white and pale. His one good eye, which once housed a steel-cold blue color, was now a very deep red. Still soaked in his own blood, he had a look about him, one that conveys a mix of hunger and rage. He was feeling now urges to eat flesh, but he was subsiding them for one reason... to end Dr. Frankie and her mission for good.
It's not over yet, Doctor. It's.... not.... over.... yet!
He starts walking away from the pit, looking for the entourage.
AND NIGHT PHASE BEGINS...

Well, Charles has a gash in his own neck... that looks like it came from his machete. Maybe he should've been more careful.
As for Alpotophis... strangely enough, he also has a slashed throat. Not the same weapon, though, the wounds aren't that similar. This wound is angling upward as it juts into their throat.
