RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 I have no legitimate plan. However, it does seem that there is reason to get Amy killed, if what I am hearing is correct? RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...I'd rather one of the actual cultists, if she is the Unjester. Which is possible, but yes, the fact that if there's another Unjester they wouldn't contradict that story... does not help at all. And I think Red in fact has claimed a role. The Investigator, like Freddy, yes? Which... I wish we could be sure or that, too. They could have been Amnesiac and found that they were the Wannabe and there are now four cultists. Which is one reason an attack last night would not have left anyone dead. But did we hear earlier that there was an attempted attack, on someone else? RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 You can be sure of my alignment. Knuckles had made himself useful by watching people, so perhaps he could watch someone I would then investigate. It's a simple scheme, but quite effective. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - Kennifer - 07-29-2021 Amy looks panicky now. "Yes, I'm trying to get the cultists to go after me. After me, not the rest of the innocents. I was hoping none of the rest of you would have to die. I'm sure more people will die if you execute me, because you won't be down a cultist. That's why I kept helping out so much with investigating, I wanted one of the cultists to decide I was probably enough of a threat to go after. And you can tell why I wasn't about to roleclaim now. But now they'll never go after me and I'm probably doomed anyway. I just… they're probably more dangerous to have around than I am, hmm?" RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 Now that your intentions are clear, Amy, the death cult is sure to use you as a bargaining chip, as they are the only ones that can grant you your wish. We can only give you loss, and as such you have no reason to not side with the cult. Is my reasoning flawed, or am I correct? RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...Helping them isn't going to get an Unjester killed by them either, is it, Red? They'd want that kind of Unjester alive to... keep helping them. I think Amy's right about that. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - artsyGeek - 07-29-2021 ". .yeah, that sucks ass. Though, I do wonder. . What happens if you were to make it out alive?" RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 That is a good point. But then what should be done? Amy's confirmation as being on nobody's side is unsettling, and I wish for some form of resolution. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - psychedelicate - 07-29-2021 Mitsuha looks at Amy with what can only be described as betrayal. "I-I don't know if I can trust you anymore... I'm sorry..." RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...If she's really the Unjester, she keeps being a big enough pain to them that they want to try to kill her anyway. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - Kennifer - 07-29-2021 "The only way I 'win' is if they get me. I'm not on their side. I just want to get out of here… now that I've been revealed, that's… not going to happen, is it?" Amy looks hurt too, at her role being revealed yes but also being mistrusted as a traitor… sure she was being selfish, but she didn't want to see the innocent hikers murdered either. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - artsyGeek - 07-29-2021 “I might be able to help you out. If I swap someone with you, and they targeted that someone. . . I'd assume you'd be dead in a similar fashion.” RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 That should actually work, Kondraki. So we should leave Amy alive and everyone gets what they want, bar the killers. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...I was thinking in similar lines, Kondraki. But, you certainly shouldn't tell anyone who else you're swapping. They could kill who they would want to, then. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - psychedelicate - 07-29-2021 Mitsuha nods in agreement. "That sounds like... a great idea..." RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - Kennifer - 07-29-2021 "That... sounds brilliant. And after they've gone after me, directly or not... I want you to know I don't care what happens to the cultists after that. They can all go back to Hell or wherever they came from." RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - artsyGeek - 07-29-2021 “. . .alllllright then. Expect this process to be a trial-and-error sort of thing though.” RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...I'm still concerned that someone is probably lying about their roleclaim. We know that the Cultists are aware of one of these roles in that damn rulebook we got that nobody actually has, so they can claim it without worrying that someone will call them on it. And as we discussed... while I see no compelling evidence that Amy is involved in the cult... if she is, and there's a real but different Unjester, they probably wouldn't speak up. So she'd be safe claiming that role too. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 Kondraki, I am rather concerned for your safety. The death cult will probably do anything they can to try and tempt Amy back onto your side, and I believe that one of the things that they could do is murder you. Please try to be careful. Please try to be careful. ...You said 'your side' as if it wasn't your side too... ...I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue, Chip. It happens to everyone sometimes. There's no evidence he's involved in the cult. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 Red sighs What even is the point in my extended vocabulary if I can't use basic determiners correctly? Besides, my message was important. I had to speak fast to warn of a potential incoming demise. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ^^ [Edit: I made a mistake there, too. Chip meant that 'your side' probably should have been 'their side', meaning the Cultists. Doh.] RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - Kennifer - 07-29-2021 "I know you feel like you can't trust me. And yeah, I would expect a cultist to lie about their role so I can see where you're coming from. But before you send me off to be executed just... please, take me at my word and assume the best." As for Red... she'd had suspicions before the whole "amnesiac" thing, but if he was the Investigator now... "Hey, if you let me live today can't you use your newly remembered investigative abilities to see if I'm lying about my role? Ask them if I'm the Unjester, they should have to tell you yes or no, right? Of course, if Kondraki switches me with someone they'd say no, but... Either way, better than just assuming I'm a liar. You've known me for a few days now. I might be kinda secretive, but I'm not lying." RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - PointMaid - 07-29-2021 ...In any case, do the Cultists have any reason to NOT want to go after the Unjester? Unless they're helping the cultists and being less eager to vote the cultists off than the rest of us, which I don't have any indication Amy is. RE: Murder in the Mountains (Day 4) - TenOfSwords13 - 07-29-2021 Amy, I will check you for your lack of humour. The morals surrounding you are very confusing and I feel as if discussions around keeping you alive can be held another time. |
