Yep, it does appear to be an sudden ambush on V. My theory is that the daggers where used to incapacitate her before finishing it off with a neck snap. But, why was it a necksnap out of all possible methods to kill her? Hm...

The bottle she was still holding and took a swig from just then, to be exact. She wanted to see if anyone's alibi had a hole in it or changed like the other killers had done.
