Do we need another motive already? My understanding was that each motive lasts until the next kill, and only after a too-brief reprieve between kills would a new one be introduced.

Someone, possibly multiple people, die either way. Either nobody kills tonight and they kill someone in the morning, or someone... possibly more than one someone if the past nights were any indication... gets killed tonight and someone is probably executed for it tomorrow. Certainly if we do nothing again, it's probably only one of us dying, but... I'm guessing that tomorrow's motive might be even worse.
Helena pops another pizza roll into her mouth (because she's totally been munching most of this time) and washes it down with a swig of... whatever it is she's been drinking.
