Hey, listen, "Tainted Soul". Don't beat yourself up over it. We've all done bad stuff. I know I have, and it's something that terrifies me still to this very day, but we got plenty of people here who want to beat others down for their sins, you don't need to do the same. Trust me, it doesn't get you anywhere.
What the Tainted Soul had said has Lloyd feeling sympathetic surprisingly. Here, he was just a guy who looked out for himself, but now he's feeling for someone else? Someone who had their own struggles of something bad they did. And Lloyd can't help but feel for the Tainted Soul.

Look at Sericle's body! It's battered and bruised everywhere, her glasses and eyesockets shattered, destroyed wings, pieces of broken bone jutting out of her skin, it's a horrific mess.

What seems to be small splotches can be seen on the blanket. Given the condition of Sericle's body, it's very likely blood.
