That notebook was probably a log kept by Illina. Not sure why she'd do that, but it does seem like that is what it is.

I... have a theory as to broadly what has happened this past week. Some of it might be a stretch, but I've tried to be reasonable here.
Dusk clears his throat before speaking.
My theory is that Tsumugi is the last zombie. I mean, it's obvious for me, as the evidence does not point at Waddle Dee or Hordak.
On the first night, I cannot say who murdered the Rutherhorde. Any of the zombies whether it is Illina, Guts or Tsumugi, could have done it. They might have even all be zombies from day one.
On the second night, again, I cannot say who killed Fluttershy, but that is not the important part. They framed two particular people - myself in an obvous way, and Edd in a more subversive way. They saw that you see through the obvous frame, and it gave them reasurance that being bold and brash is the more viable approach.
On the third night, Guts killed Hitomi. They went for the "it's too obvious" approach, but it backfired without a succesful frame-up. They shift their tactics slightly, but keep them, thinking that you'd agree that they'd change things up.
On the fourth night, Illina killed Mikel. Learning from their mistake, instead of having the real killer "frame" themselves, Illina framed Tsumugi in an attempt to clear her. Alas, since Illina died, they couldn't properly carry out the plan, leaving Tsumuig with suspicon, but not enough for quarantine.
Finally, last night, Tsumugi killed Nepeta. They go for the obvious frame on me, since we started to learn their tactics of hiding in a spectacle, with a viable solution of Tsumugi so that we all might think she's being framed.
What does everyone think? Do you think that my theory has merit, or do you see any holes in it that I haven't yet?

... Okay. I... Hold on. What's stopping it from being YOU trying to frame ME trying to frame you. Or anyone else... Because maybe it's something along the lines of "the killer KNEW that I was a potential suspect due to the fact that the letter had an icon that only I recognized, despite the fact that it wasn't anywhere on the island, and the fact that I was a day 1 bite victim. " It'd be a convenient frame. But, telling from Hitomi's and Fluttershy's cases... JUST that wasn't going to be enough. So, in this case, the killer, whoever it was, made the framing of the KILLER obvious, leaving us to ignore that... maybe the killer WANTED us to think that.
Basically, what I'm saying is that... maybe this whole framing of Dusk and it being me is just another layer for ANOTHER frame, and maybe I'M the one that's been framed for this murder, done by someone else, intentionally designed to LOOK like it was ME framing Dusk.
And yeah, I know, a double-layered frame sounds ridiculous, but I... I just want to give my opinion and do my best to give my reason for why I'm innocent in all of this. Again, agree to disagree, and point out any holes in MY reasoning, too. And besides... I've been bit twice, so I've had more chances to become a zombie than Dusk, who only got bitten once... but still. If this doesn't convince you... Feel free to vote for me. At least I tried.

There is nothing stopping that. There is nothing stopping any of our theories, aside from the fact that only one can be true. We just need to let the other two make their choices.

Hordak's scarred ears twitced. He signaled the end of his thought pattern with a cough before speaking. "Well...I never turned. If Dusk wanted to kill someone, he would have used his sword. And Waddle Dee...you are insufficiently sized to have done any of this. I was only here in time for Hitomi's murder, so I cannot judge on the past cases."

"The one thing your theory is missing is what that sentence means. It seems to me that Tsumugi has...coordinated things before we were brought to the island."

Honestly... I cannot explain that. I think, however, it may be irrelevant, something that she did in the past. It may not have anything to do with the virus, this island, or murder.

Tsumugi's memories start flashing... vague memories... from... not here... with faces she can't even recognize... why can't she remember... anything... at all...
These memories... I... they're not... from here... but then... why am I... Why did I recognize that symbol... if I don't know...?
Tsumugi's memories quickly pass by... like glances in the channels of a TV... Not even a second occurs before the next memory passes... fragmented and corrupted... missing details all over the place...
What does it mean... what does the note mean?!
