RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Ranma was setting up a test dummy, looking at it. " Whatever. She may have stole my shirt and threatened to kill us numerous times, but jokes on her. She failed, and now is in a place where murder is forbidden. This place must be hell for her." Ranma shrugged, having quickly changed into into a gi to train in.

Meanwhile, a black and white cat. . . dog. . . rabbit thing with a blue shirt and hat with Pacman on it was laying unconscious on a couch, snoozing away peacefully.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wingedcatgirl - 03-24-2021

"I swear, some people just decide they're 'good' and others are 'evil' and call that the end of the discussion," Vivi grumbles. "It's the Heaven's Ward all over again..."

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Florien - 03-24-2021

Yeah, the fanatics and shit. Like, I had a fanatic in my first party. She was our leader actually. She was great most of the time, but she was PAINFUL to deal with whenever anything critical of Azhi was brought up. Really, I'm not entirely surprised she went the route she ultimately did after our group sort of... stopped. But THESE people, they're not even fanatical, they're just... incomprehensible. They're just so utterly wrapped up in their preconceived notions that they won't reason through shit. Like... like those people who don't occasionally stop to reevaluate whether something is still right for them, if it EVER was! Legacy political faction members, for example. "Oh, we've always supported this faction, so I guess we're going to keep doing that because that's the way it's always been". It's... like that with them. They don't evaluate their own systems, they just stick with whatever they've got because that's what they were told was good. It's like... stop taking what authority figures say at face value. Consider for yourself. But then they're like "no you're an EGOTIST and BAD because you didn't conform to ME and ME BEING SUPER SPECIAL AND THE BEST LIFE."

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Klonoa heard Kellensea and Vivi's conversation and began waking up, feeling like someone stabbed out his eye. Is it morning already. . . Did I miss the arena fight?" Klonoa groggily asked, confused.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wingedcatgirl - 03-24-2021

"... Do we have an arena?" Vivi asked, nonplussed. "I haven't been keeping track."

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-24-2021

Then a big bulky man with sunglasses in a police uniform shows up, with a holstered nightstick. He takes off his sunglasses and walks inside. He notices Klonoa.

Klonoa! It's so great to see you again! You okay, little buddy?

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Oggy123 - 03-24-2021

Bandana Dee then says "What's going on, anyway? Do i miss something?"

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

"Bossman? Did we escape the castle?" The Dream Traveller asked, confused.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-24-2021

I don't know what all happened. You ended up gettin' killed by that Roger Wilco, but he got executed in the end. Then more people died and before we were to go off onto another battle, it all just froze and blacked out. I don't know what happened. But I'm here now. Guess those last two killers got away. I'm glad to see you again though. I cursed Wilco's name ever since then and was ready to rip out his spine had the dragon not cremated him.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - door-kun - 03-24-2021

"This is a hotel, you see! I am Hifumi Yamada, the Ultimate Fanfiction Creator. What was your name, mister. .?"
"

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - artsyGeek - 03-24-2021

[Percy smiles at the newcomers.]

"Greetings, you all."

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Klonoa scratched the back of his head, surprised. "I died? That's. . . horrible. At least it wasn't as bad as Sylvie's murder, right? And we're free, aren't we?" He looked over at Hifumi. "Oh, hey! I'm Klonoa!"

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Florien - 03-24-2021

Kellensea, seemingly glad to have someone who isn't contesting her points by bad-faith rhetoric, keeps talking.

...I don't know why these people are like this. They're like "And that's why Kellensea is bad" and then I give them facts, and then they say "And that's why Kellensea is bad" again. I guess you could say it's because facts don't care about their feelings and they're trying to spare their own feelings from facts. Hell, I could say that, I guess... but thought terminating clichés aren't really... fun to use for me. There's like, only a couple for any given situation and one of them is always "facts don't care about your feelings". Like, they're practical I guess for pandering to audiences, but I'm more single-target, and thought terminating clichés don't win arguments except in the performative sense. Aside from that, I can't really pander to an audience that made up its mind already, you know? It's like... you saw that Gary guy, right? He heavily implies my clothing is a problem and should change it, and then backtracks the moment I call him on his shit and starts denying that that's what he said. Ranma does the same shit, most of them do. They don't listen to my arguments, they just default to "adventurer lady has S-l-i-i-i-i-g-h-t-l-y different values, so she's evil." Like, there are a great deal of problems with the idea of objective evil anyway. Why is exhibiting hyper-pro-social behavior the end-all-be-all of what is good to these people? I've always been like this, so why should they hate and fear me for it?

Kellensea sits back down, and pauses for a bit.

It's like... I don't know what it's like. It's discriminatory, certainly, but that doesn't feel like the worst of it. It's like they're unable or unwilling to consider that the universe might not revolve around their species and their moral framework, or hell, ANY particular species and moral framework. It's like they need a hierarchy because if there wasn't one, how would they convince themselves that they're good? But no, THEY'RE the chosen ones with the mythological importance, and anyone who defies them to find a reason that they're more important than any other life is to be excommunicated from the circle.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Klonoa'd look over at the weird lady in the armor. He didn't catch a lot of words in that sentence, since most of them seemed big or confusing. However she seemed upset about something. "If it makes you feel better, I think your armor looks really cool. And I don't think you're bad." To be fair, he hadn't fully witness the Kellensea experience, but then again, it's probably just his good nature.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Florien - 03-24-2021

Kellensea seems really pleased to receive a compliment, especially from the unexpected source.

Oh yeah, sure! I accept your complement of course. I'm sure you'll meet Ranma, or this Gary guy, or someone like them eventually, and they'll say some stuff and then you'll decide suddenly to go along with their thing of hating me, but for now, I accept your compliment. My armor is... cool. Form and function, as they say.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Oggy123 - 03-24-2021

Bandana Dee then goes to where Ranma is.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Dookie - 03-24-2021

“Well, nice to meet you guys!”

She goes to get a glass of water.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Klonoa tilts his head. "Why would I hate you? I just met you. Plus I don't really hate anyone!" Klonoa says, being completely honest. Even with someone like Medic who killed Sylvie for shits and giggles and flushed him down the toilet, he still didn't hate him. Because were it not for the dragon guy who kidnapped them and hired Medic, Roger and whoever the other two were, no one would've died.

Ranma was really working up a sweat. The test dummy he was using now was the sixth one, after he accidentally or intentionally destroyed the other five dummies. And there goes the sixth one, being blasted apart by a large ki attack Ranma released from his hands.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - PointMaid - 03-24-2021

Ruby is still in a bad state after hearing that a lot of the new people found a way to leave that university without... well, doing what she had to do. You can see her eyes are puffy and red.

She isn't drinking wine anymore (which she knows she shouldn't, it's probably exacerbating the emotions she's feeling), but has decided to have some coffee despite that she knows it will probably push up her blood pressure, which she doesn't need right now.

She does think she needs some food in her, though. She finds a bagel.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

The Dream Traveller noticed the other girl here, looking like she's been crying. His kind nature can't really ignore that, so he approached her with a friendly smile that had shreds of concern. "Hi, I'm Klonoa. Are you okay?"

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - artsyGeek - 03-24-2021

[Percy looks at Ruby with a pitiful face.]

"..are you alright there, Ma'am?"

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-24-2021

Bossman goes with Klonoa to the crying Ruby.

Hey, ma'am. What seems to be the problem here?

Meanwhile, Gary Busey is beating up a dummy himself, as he watches Ranma destroy other dummies. He shrieks loudly as he lands each punch on a dummy.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

Ranma splits his seventh one in half. He watched as Gary land a couple punches on the dummy, crossing his arms. "You don't really have to shriek Everytime you throw a punch." Ironic coming from the guy who was screaming "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire" technique earlier.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-24-2021

Well, actually I do. Something I need to do to remove any excessive energy I got so I don't break all these dummies like you do. I'm sure all those costs a bit of money and you're breaking them all. Have to learn to control yourself. Don't give out too much when it's not need. Just watch me.

Gary pulls back his fist, then lets out a high-pitch and shrill WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! as he gives a few hard punches on the dummy. He repeats this quite obnoxious scream as he keeps on punching it. For an actor and brain-damaged lunatic who's quite out there, he does pack quite a punch. After a few minutes, he stops to catch his breath.

Now you see? That's quite therapeutic.

RE: The Murder-Free Hotel - wahoothis - 03-24-2021

"I have control. However, I haven't punched an actual dummy in about a week, so I guess I just let loose. Well, I guess if you make someone deaf with you high-pitched squeals, then the peace and quiet could be therapeutic." Ranma said sarcastically, holding his ears. "Geez, I don't even think girls can scream higher than that wail you gave just now." He mumbled, feeling like his ears are bleeding.
