Beats me. I agree that it's hard to see how it would infect us if water inactivates it, but it's what we saw. If nothing else, it's scientifically interesting that way.

Well, we already know scratches from a cat-person will also turn someone. And the effects are... varied and not entirely consistent, but I don't think we've seen any differences between people bitten or scratched by the cats themselves and those turned by cat-people. We can ask around about people's experiences there, though. Quite a few were affected.

The second one included a bunch of challenges, and could actually have been kinda fun if not for the whole "killing" aspect! Thankfully it ended earlier than expected... Sure hope I won't have to join one of those again!"
Meanwhile, Derana is looking down at the ground, her expression having changed to a sad, regretful one. "Oh, right, those games... I was in one too. And I was..." She pauses a bit, "one of the killers. I... didn't even WANT to do this! But... it was like I had no choice... I only ended up killing one other player, but still... it still feels awful... what kind of sick bastards keep setting up these games anyway?"
